LEGO Star Wars III, like all of Developer Traveller’s Tales’ LEGO games, will not be considered an amazing video game that will forever go down in history as one of the defining titles of its period. It does also display several elements that many would argue are simplistic particularly when it comes to gameplay. However, the game is a lot of fun and has some fantastic multi-player options, which is what I think ultimately the developers were aiming for.

If you haven’t played these retro(ish) Star Wars games, today is the perfect day to give them a try.
I am not a big Star Wars guy but I enjoyed Shadows of the Empire on the N64 I found it at a pawnshop one day for $20. I bought it and I still enjoy it from time to time I only own three Star Wars games in my collection Shadows of the Empire and both Force Unleashed games. I remember my grandmother would rent a game console during Xmas she grabbed the N64 and Shadows of the Empire I sat in front of the tv all the time with that game.
It's a good game, much better than even LEGO Harry Potter (and that was a good one) The RTS levels are a blast, really like the gold and silver buildings cause you have to plan on how to take them out. Still some problems with the camera though and since it's a LEGO game that's to be expected.
The PSP version though is pants - nothing more than direct port of the DS (certainly looks it) nothing like the 360/PS3 versions - no RTS levels, levels are smaller but retooled. You could easily finish it in an afternoon - there's no replay value either when you do beat it.
Still, bring on LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean..
