GB: Capcom's announced that a new Resident Evil game is in development for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC today
"a third person based shooter experience set in the Resident Evil universe as the events depicted in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 are interpreted in the game." oh damn this sounds awesome!!! can't wait to head back to the city!! "iconic landmarks such as the Raccoon City Police Department and fan favourite characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, who as a rookie police officer in Raccoon City is on your hit list to eliminate"
this must be what it like when people say angels sing to them
So is it gonna be a survival horror game this time?
Sly Cooper in a RE game? Awesome.
Move/Sharpshooter support hopefully.
at "team based". I'll hold my thoughts until they clarify the details more. I would really love to have more of a single character experience again, like how RE1 was. You would explore and fight on your own and when you came into contact with your squad members, it was almost like an appreciated relief where you were happy to see them, until certain people went shady. I'm looking at you, ALBERT! Having a partner tagging along like in 5 is annoying and clunky to me(RAJA! no... its Rodger BITCH!), and it completely kills the horror aspect of the game. At any rate its Capcom so either its gonna be really good or really bad. I hope its good.
I am looking forward to this 1 which I havnt been for a longtime after outbreak!not too into resident evil 4 or 5...but where is my next resident evil outbreak!
This sounds bad. Four player co-op? Multiple online multiplayer modes? This doesn't sound at all like the RE i know and love.
Agreed. RE5 was bad enough; now they're turning into just another shooter.
Ok so pretty much your playing as the USS (Hunks team) and you hunt down RE's main stars, while in the zombie infested, B.O.W. ravaged Raccoon City. While doing who knows what, and it has co-op... Im sold 1000%
i want a remake of the first 3 games :(
I'm not a fan of the series but I've tried my best to get into the latest installments. Resi4 however had an unforgiveable PC port and resi5 wasn't exactly winning my heart over with so many bugs and (imo) awful gunplay. What I will say though is that Capcom really need to listen to their fans. Dragon Age II and Crysis 2 are classic examples of games that deviated in a desperate bid to garner a wider audience and while the results have had mixed reception it's still disheartening to see developers skip over the very people who gave them cash in hand and enabled them to make a sequel. On one hand I hope this title gives me the opportunity to become a fan of the series, on the other hand I just hope they don't do it at the expense of people who've been playing the games since the first resident evil.
THANK YOU for finally trying to give the public another good Resident Evil Game
