Uncle. I scream uncle! I have been a pretty good cheerleader for Call of Duty Black Ops. I have finished Prestige on the online multiplayer. I consider myself a pretty good player.

The new cod will be sick if it carries on from modern warfare 2, cause soap and forgot the other guys name are both wanted men and are on the run, if the new game centers around them two it will be pretty sick tbh!

One problem: a CoD game can't tell a story. Even if it's an interesting setting and/or a plot, the games haven't been able to convey that sense.

MW2's story was one of the worst SP I've played this gen and I've played a lot (BFBC2 being the worst). Besides being super short, the story was really bad, kinda convoluted, disjointed and absurd. Absolutely no character development at all and boring, Burger Town was the worst.

The environments had no style too, nothing came close to that smokey night time bridge scene in COD4, i felt like I was playing in a cardboard diorama made by an 14 year old - it just looked dull.

MW2 overall deserved 7.5-8 not the 9.5s it got.

Black Ops is not total crap. I mean, it sold hundreds of thousands of copies. Sure it is bad, but it doesn't mean that anyone who purchased a copy is a moron.

It's a decent game, I just think that the developers should have spent a little more time polishing it (especially PS3 and PC versions) rather than rushing it to the market so that they could meet their quarterly revenue margins in order to please the investors.

In the end, some people enjoyed the game, others (like myself) didn't enjoy it due to issues such as bad experiences or technical difficulties. Let's just hope that they learned lessons to be applied to Modern Warfare 3.

I get what this guy is saying it's the same thing with me I just can't stomach COD anymore I can only play like 1 or 2 games before I get tired of it, it's just not doing it for me anymore. I think call of duty is alright, but nothing special. I remember when call of duty 4 came out and I could swear it was one of the best games ever but now it's extremely overdone. they've had a call of duty for every year since call of duty 4 and everytime it's been the same stuff over and over... same look same feel same everything. now this all wouldn't be so bad but call of duty is so overrated that it's messing up everything else.
you can categorize gamers into groups and one of those groups is the call of duty people. they prefer online multiplayer over singleplayer and think call of duty and sometimes battlefield bad company(which is pretty great) are the best games ever. sadly this makes up a huge if not most of the gaming community.
this sucks because it causes people to overlook all the better games out there. there are three people in my neighborhood that have uncharted 2 that I know of...none of them have played it past the fifth level or something like that and they play call of duty everyday. I brought over killzone 3 to a party, nobody cared and they all went to play cod black ops SAD DAY. CALL OF DUTY IS TAKING OVER VIDEO GAMES. this could initiate the apocalypse and rip the space time continuam or something like that(if i spelled that correctly)!

so far my shooter for this year is BattleField 3 , but i just dont want to put much faith in it , as BattleField truly knows how to shatter your fantasy ..
but as for BlackOps i was trying the game when i found that M16A2 got no-recoil -yes thats the very first mission- , thats when i knew the game is a fail..

As much as CoD is the same old same old year round, I do like how it is one of the few games that support 4 player split-screen local; also, Black Ops added bots in the split-creen portion, something I haven't seen in a while. Along with Halo and Resistance, more games need to support local play. Nothing beats playing with friends in the same room.
