EA has told CVG that it is "very cognisant" of the opportunities presented by its back catalogue of classic IP, including Road Rash, Burnout and Bullfrog franchises such as Populous and Magic Carpet.
omg, Roadrash....Make it happen EA.
In the meantime, I've been meeting my ROAD RASH fix over the last couple years with GTA 4 online. If you play GTA RACING, it will remind of exactly of Road Rash. That's one of the reasons I still play it. But yeah...Road Rash 2012 would be great. :)
roadrash and populous! :D would be so awesome
Kinect Populous could be good. I'd imagine the real Gods don't have mice or controllers. :-)
remake roash rash right now. I miss fighting poeple on bikes
personally, i didnt like roash rash. it just wasn't that good of a game compared to the original road rash.
YEAH! Let's get a crappy, forced remake of a game we love! YEAH!
Road Rash was a sweet game.
Desert Strike was a total classic back in the day, hard as hell though. The controls made attacks from multiple opponents insanely difficult, many missions you had to go the thick of it due to the time limit, trying to find fuel or complete the mission before your copper ran out and crashed. Anyone who beat a "strike" game was a pro gamer for sure. Roadrash was a top rent back in the day, so fun to collect the higher tier bikes and max out the upgrades. The problem with that game though, you could only really win 1st place if you ignored the fighting aspect and just gunned it. They could find a way to balance it now though. Syndicate was good. The sequel Syndicate wars was my absolute favorite team based game back in PS1 days. Very hard also, but clever the way you had to balance your team, talking to your friends about who should get what upgrade, cause you cant afford to max out the team, no matter what you do. Forgo a skeletal upgrade so your buddy can get explosives to take out the bank in the next mission. Or who's taking the long range laser, cause while you need its insane power, the reload time is auto-lose if guys rush you, you'll need cover fire. God I want a new Syndicate game. Good to see they haven't forgotten.
Desert strike rocked. So did road rash. If they could make road rash with the A.I out of Motorstorm or GRID it would be awesome
So, if they decide to implement 3D, and since there is already a game with 3D as part of its title, I wonder what they will call it? lol
i still remember the road rash concept video that apparently got cancelled. I hope EA returns to the series and bring it back to it roots.
God i love this game.still playing the oldest one on my laptop. I miss old humble EA with those great titles.
I still have this game on my A1200. love my old games Frontier elite 2 still gets a regular blast
please, road rash!!! :)
I hope some day EA will bring out a new Road Rash. It is a great series & I would like to see what could be done with the series today. Also I would like to see a new System Shock too.
Used to play Road Rash all the time on Sega. Then the PSX and N64. Nothing better than sticking a baseball bat in the front of someones wheel and watching them fly over the handle bars! REMAKE!
This was the reason i bought a 3DO, still works like new by the way, if i remember correctly the first roadrash you coundnt punch the police of there bikes, so when they added that to the sequel i had to own it, i think they ran out ideas at that stage and added a turbo mode to the next game, still amazing though, owning that all black turbo bike the 3DO version blew everthing else away know that moto gp is a joke and they dont want to add bikes to gt5 i need a new roadrash
very glad to know they realise they have this gem of an ip called road rash. i'm looking forward to a current-gen reboot of it, and ea, please dont tone down the gameplay, cause i would like to make my competitors suffer badly.
I sure have. Both games were horribly bland.
never!! :D i still remember playing it when i was 8 or 7 orrrrr 9 or 6 , i really don 't know but i asure you that i remember playing it like if it was yesterday xD , it was fun , i can't even describe my feelings playing the old games >.< , it was the best times T_T ..
The older 2D Road Rash games were awesome, and were the best of them all. I really miss the days of playing Road Rash on PC over Mplayer against other people, along with Joint Strike Fighter. That was a lot of fun. Used to be in a Road Rash/JSF clan back in the day on there, haha. I would love to see Road Rash make a come back and have the same basic style and gameplay that it had before. Just add in customizable riders, bikes (looks and upgrades), maybe a course creator, some different game modes, then give it a visual overhaul and you'd have all the modern features you could ever need.
