wow, is that for real? there's a real noticable difference between the two. glad i have a Slim. I don't really understand why it would have enhanced graphics since the GPU hasn't been altered from what i know. Extra cache room shouldn't be the reason either. very strange. oh well, i have a slim so i'm happy

The video was stupid. They should have showed an in game demo not a loading screen. I still might go out and get me a PSP slim since my PSP "PHAT" is all scratched up. Oh and uGLYmE you don't have the first post, zerOne beat you to it . Learn to type faster;)

if you don't have Divx, don't complain because alot of us do have it, and I am using FireFox. I prefer high quality videos as oppose to crappy youTube that u can't see jack.

On the contrary, i have been linking alot to this site for this reason, because it has only Divx and not crappy YouTube style .swf videos.

The only thing I noticed form this video was the incredibly long loading time. I thought PSP Slim eliminated that? And why choose such a boring comparison? I'd rather see moving video or Gameplay. I'm still on the fence as to trade my old trusty PSP phat.

synce, The DivX plugin is becoming very popular, its going to be used more and more because its a very efficient way of streaming high quality video in a browser. I wouldn't worry about it being only used for this single video. But hey, its not worth it for this video, I agree ;)

I have an original PSP and a slim, and it seems like the slim has a slightly better screen than the original (not as much ghosting when playing either GTA games)

Just the fact that it's significantly lighter, better d-pad, and video out was enough to make me go out and get one.

well w/e i already got a normal psp , and im not gona go running to buy the new 1.. trust me guys the psp is more of a pick up and go type handheld theres no reason to go get another 1 ...

the slim's screen is a lil bit brighter.

i keep telling you guys, buy the extended warranty. i bought it from BestBuy with the PSP and when i saw the new model out, i took the old one back and got the slim with no problem.

plus if it breaks, i can easily get a new one.

That video was a horrible comparison.... %90 of it was a damned loading screen. You can tell nothing from it period.

didn't prove anything.....if you were somehow able to pull out a noticeable difference between the two, im seriously wondering how. i mean, i know the newer psp's are better, but this video isn't the one to prove it too you. you sit around watching the loading screen for about 20 seconds and then 3 seconds of gameplay, and the sad part is, its not even game play.....

the comparison that is they showed no ingame actual gameplay just title screen and menus and loading screens, and so much for the faster loading times they loadded the exact same ammount allmost 30 seconds just for a single track.

they need to do a better compare, and the only difference i could see is vertical likes on the psp lcd which means nothing because psp the original has 3 different types of lcd manufacturers.

LCD screens tend to dim somewhat as they get older. And LCD technology has come a long way in the last couple of years.

I don't see why it should be a surprise to anyone that the new models have a sharper, brighter display than the older models.

i love my PSP, and i planned on getting a Slim for my fiance, but i think that this is just reaching.

Load times. The new slim has double the system memory, this cuts the load times of some games up to 50%. Dont bother argueing this with me, i KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE. So, I wish i had one, but then again, not much of a portable gamer in the first place, i got my psp for plane trips....dont do much of those anymore. Both psp's are nice though, so what ev.

if u kids don't see a diff but by having one there is. If u don't plan on getting one of the newer models your loss but loads faster and sharper
graphs. other then that please don't bit&h about what u don't have and don't know. I doubt u go far.

The regular psp has lines running though it. It looks like the screen is better on the slim.
