Assassin's Creed III takes place in the USA?

PSX-Sense writes: "We all know that Assassin's Creed III will release later this year. But what we don't know is where AC III will take place. There were rumors that it will take place in Russia, but now it seems it will take place in the USA.

The people who have played the new DLC of the game, The Da Vinci Disappereance must've noticed that at the ending of this DLC a coordinate appears. When you type this coordinate in at Google maps, you get to see some kind of strange hole which is near to a little town name Glenfield, USA.

There is a big chance that Assassin's Creed III will take place during the American Revolutionary War. So that's between the 17th and 18th century. And the fact that George Washington has the Apple of Eden during that time confirms the rumor more and more. Check the url beneath for more information!"

i want it to be in london 1800s

BK-2015164d ago

Anywhere but the U.S. please. I was really hoping for China.

Quagmire5164d ago (Edited 5164d ago )

Japan, China, Russia, London, Paris, Egypt, heck, I'd rather have Germany WW2 than USA.

JL5164d ago

What's so wrong with putting it in the US?

NeutralGamer5163d ago

I want it in Japan :D

Imagine the Assassins as Ninja and Templars as Samurais

Eyeco5163d ago

because 95% of action games are set in the usa

ProjectVulcan5163d ago (Edited 5163d ago )

British Empire settings are criminally underused in games. Watch the recent Sherlock Holmes film for how good a 19th century London game could be....

Eamon5164d ago

I highly doubt it would be set in America.

Solid_Snake-5163d ago

totaly agree.maybe the london industrial era would be a great idea. and modernizing AC would be rubbish,
i never wanna see a guy in body armour with a m16 or a uzi in my AC games.

please please please dont set it in america.

CoLD FiRE5163d ago

I want it to be set in the future with laser guns and energy swords.

xtremeimport5163d ago

there wasnt really a lot cool architecture in the early Americas...just a lot of fields...this would be lame.

It is priced at $49.99. From other articles I read, the game is more linear so probably like Mafia 1 and 2 instead of 3 (full open world). I am guessing around 10-12 hours.

RaidenBlack13h ago

Yep, I feel it'd be even more linear than the first 2

badboyz099h ago

I Already pre- ordered the Deluxe Edition 👍

andy859h ago(Edited 9h ago)

Too many massive open worlds this is refreshing. Concentrate on a more dynamic smaller area.

ZycoFox6h ago

Open is good, too open where you easily get lost.. nah. Unfortunately even Nintendo has got a taste of open world and want to make huge deserts now, this is why I prefer Mario 3D Land and World, open enough for some exploration and alternate paths but not desolate either.

Ninver7h ago

Gameplay looks fluid. Hope the story is on point.

Here we go, a nice Stuttering mess with the best game engine in the industy UE5.
