The only problem I have with this is Japan has asked for no help. So this money is going into a pot just in case and if they don't need it your donation won't even go to Japan.

yeah i think it's because we are living in the states that we get those errors. I'm in the midwest of USA, but yeah this error pops up. Usually when they post something new it happens, but after a few hours or a day it comes back.

And unlike Haiti, Japan will actually get the money, instead of the government stealing it. The japanese have honor and would actually like to help their own. It sucks all of the 'donations' that went to Haiti were just stolen by their government.

It's a good cause and, hopefully, sets a precident, so many people have consoles connected to the internet. If there's another emergency appeal, hopefully we can have these sort of things set up day 1 be it PSN, or XBL, Nintendo's stores or Steam. People may not know where to donate directly to causes, but if platform holders can do this and donate the full amount directly to the relief agencies, it's just going to open them up to, at least, a few more people and any way they make it easier for people to donate is always good.
