Of course.. Don't you know? The Wii is the most powerfulz in this gen.. duh, thought everybody knew that already :D

/s

All jokes aside though, I'm interested to see how much more power they can squeeze out of the ol' lil' Wii :)

christheredhead5206d ago

i can tell by your comment that you didnt read the article and merely posted to downplay the wii. all the article is stating is that high voltage finds little improvements here and there that can further the power they get out of the system. i guess everyone knew that but you seeing as how you couldn't take the time to read the link.

in terms of raw graphics there all close in terms of power the ps3/360 win but raw graphics there all very impressive better graphics than Conduit 2 is basically competing with PC in my eyes as the C2 is on par graphically with ps3 just in a sci-fi Halo graphic style as HVS said if we used a Killzone budget u would see extremely special things so remember there achieving this on a moderate budget still AAA but not like Killzones 50 million + budget try 12 million 4 C2 so to get graphics on par with ps3 with less budget is a testiment to how powerful the wii is.

Power in a console means nothing when it comes to graphics u get good graphics out of well balanced hardware something the wii is and its what the GPU can do and Hollywood can do everything the HD consoles can do.

what people dont understand is the Conduit 2 is looking like high end HD game but with superior game modes and controls its using a lighting system that is used in games like resistance and halo its a beast and im buying it day 1 all u need is Mario galaxy 1 and 2 the Conduit2 and Zelda SS/Zelda 25th ect saying the wii is ageing is stupid if every dev was using the resourses HVS use then Fifa would look equal to HD twins in 480p ect Racing games would be on par with HD twins ect 480p wouldnt be an issue if devs actually used the Hardware even Conduit1 looks HD more than ED ect due to HDR/AA ect HVS say in terms of graphics alot more is achievable because the Grinder looks better than most ps3 games period Nintendo should publish it i mean if devs actually used the wii harware instead of doing updated gamecube quality games the system would look fine if u just buy Nintendo/HVS/Capcom games on Wii u have HD quality games 4 £30 a pop online the Conduit 2 has online that matches any FPS available and with the right adverts can be the new Goldeneye/Halo 4 Wii easy it has DLC as the wi-fi logo is black new maps/weapons wow

And not even one period was given that day...

Let me help you out:

What people don't understand is: Conduit 2 is looking like an high-end HD game but with superior game modes and controls. It is using a lighting system that is used in games like Resistance and Halo. This game is a beast and I'm buying it day 1.

All u need is Mario galaxy 1 & 2, Conduit2, Zelda SS/Zelda 25th, etc. Saying the Wii is ageing is stupid! If every dev were to use the resourses HVS uses, then Fifa, Racing games, etc etc would have looked equal to the HD twins in 480p. This resolution wouldn't be an issue if devs actually used the Hardware. Even The Conduit looks HD more than ED.

Due to HDR/AA and such, HVS claims in terms of graphics a lot more is achievable. The Grinder looks better than most ps3 games period.(See you actually use a period here xD).

Nintendo should publish it. I mean if devs actually used the Wiis hardware instead of doing updated gamecube quality games the system would look fine. If you just buy Nintendo/HVS/Capcom games on Wii, you will have HD quality games for £30 a pop. Conduit 2 has online that matches any FPS available. With the right adverts this game can be the new Goldeneye/Halo for Wii, easy! It has DLC,as the black wi-fi logo indicates, new maps/weapons wow!

See, while i do not agree with a bunch of what you said, but damn, its easier to read isn't it?
Its actually Conduit 2 not "The conduit 2".

I have no idea if you are serious or just a brilliant troll...this is way to vague.

ChickeyCantor5206d ago

Of course if you are dedicated to certain hardware you can do a lot with it.

Of course everything walks towards a limit.

look at the HD games before optimised game engines the graphics were poor every publisher has invested 10s of millions to get game engines up and running otherwise the HD consoles would look the same as Wii in general look at the wii games built on decent engines MH3/Darkside Chronicles/Conduit series/Galaxy2/Zelda SS/Red steel built on BGAE2 engine/ect to name a few look amazing end of the wii only suffers from lack of investment not lack of power the ps2 was 133mhz gpu look at GT4 and ps2 had 4 pixel pipelines not 8 like wii it also couldnt do HDR and AA at the same time my point closed

they could claim to make the wii even more powerful than the most powerful gaming pc but if that technology isnt put into decent games then its useless.

Prior to Splatoon, Nintendo asked Wii FPS The Conduit developer to make a water gun shooter

Back in 2011, way before Splatoon was known to the world, Nintendo approached the developer of Wii FPS The Conduit to co-create a non-violent water pistol shooter as a first-party exclusive. However, leaks at the studio quickly led to the project's cancellation.

interesting little bit of history there.

Agreed. I'm unsure of how to feel about the whole ordeal considering we still got Splatoon out of it.

How Video Games Are Helping New Orleans Rebuild

New Orleans is celebrating 10 years of growth post-Katrina. One of the economic areas the city, as well as the state of Louisiana, has focused on since the Category 5 hurricane caused an estimated $150 billion in damage in 2005 is video game development. The state has offered as much as 35% incentives for game developers interested in starting up new studios or expanding existing studios.
