Game Guy Barry White writes:
"Hidden object games seem to have been growing in both popularity and in quality over the last few years and, as I have found when I played The Mystery of the Crystal Portal 2: Beyond the Horizon I've found that they are some of the better titles to play on the iPhone. It's a good thing, then, that I played Crystal Portal 2 before playing G5's Romance of Rome because I would not have come to that same conclusion."
Today G5 Games announced that they have doubled their profits compared to this same time last year. To thank all the fans and gamers that have led to this bout of growth and success, G5 has placed their 25 top games on sale for a limited time. Check out the list below for games, platforms, and sale prices:
Along with the growing popularity of casual games overall has been the emergence of the hidden object game as a promenant genre. In fact, they've become some of the better games to play on the iPhone for gamers both hardcore and not. G5 Entertainment's latest hidden object game, Romance of Rome, is a fairly good title in the genre but it's nowhere near the best option for the price.
TMA - I know I’ve been touting in my last few hidden object game reviews about how I like the fact that this style of game is becoming more adventure game like as time passes. However, it’s still good to play a hidden object game every once in a while where the focus is on finding objects.
I've always had trouble getting interested in hidden object games, myself. When Nintendo tried it, it was the most boring game at an admittedly lackluster E3 (2008). If I like Wii Music more than your game, you're doing something wrong.
