Retailer Amazon.com Inc. this week price cut Sony Corp.’s Killzone 3 for the Playstation 3 to under $50 in a new game sale. This week, Killzone 3 holds a discount price of $49.99, 17 percent off the $59.99 MSRP.
Really... just $10 cheaper. Hardly what I'd call a sale, but then again I'm used to Steam's uber over 9000% off sales :3
That was Fast...
Well yeah..the game is selling really badly
Apparently having sales means the game is selling bad? Man I must have a bunch of bad games from steam then.
Sadly, this was not unexpected, though. The open beta was terrible and the retail version launched with a lot of the same problems, leading to horrible word-of-mouth. It's been over three weeks since launch, and the maps STILL don't rotate correctly, for crying out loud. Hopefully Sony will learn from this and not release half-finished exclusives.
The game getting low reviews and selling worse than Killzone 2 is most likely the cause. If anyone doesn't think that is the reason, please explain why you think the game is on sale?
