Paradox Interactive and Kerberos Studios have unravelled more mysteries of the universe in a new video interview with Martin Cirulis, the lead designer of Sword of the Stars II: The Lords of Winter, sequel to Kerberos' hit 4X science fiction strategy game. Cirulis gives an introduction to the dangerous Lords of Winter and underlines how the Sword of the Stars II: The Lords of Winter universe has evolved since the first game.
GCO: "Angry Joe recently had a chance to talk to Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester about past missteps of the company, most notedly the release of Sword of the Stars II back in 2011."
From Strategyinformer.com: "It’s been a little over a year since Paradox and Kerberos released Sword of the Stars II, the bigger-and-better sequel to the original cult-classic that merged Civ-like Empire management and epic tactical space battles. Unfortunately, when it was first released in 2011, it was terrible – and not just in a "oh this isn’t really a good game" kind of way, I mean there were entire sections of the game that were missing. You don’t often see screw-ups like that these days, and while I may have been a bit lenient on it during my review, I still understood that Sword of the Stars II was nowhere near where it should be."
Kerberos Productions released the Enhanced Edition of last year's 4X Strategy Game, Sword of the Stars. Does this newly updated version make the game better than it was? Lasting First Impressions take it for a test drive to determine if it's worth your time.
