So with many great shooter games on the market from Call of Duty: Black Ops to Medal of Honor, the vast amount of realistic shooters are pushing the thresholds of what game companies have to develop to gain a foothold in the market. Each year game companies and developers have to step up their skills and go beyond the limits of what games can bring to the table. One game that is pushing that bar is Homefront. While the AAA side of the industry tends to homogenization and imitative, cinematic presentation, “AA” games remain creative and innovative in 2021. Drawing on inspirations as varied as Dark Souls, third person shooters & kung fu cinema, Biomutant is Ratchet & Clank on acid, developed by a team of 20 people.

Remember THQ? They published such games as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Darksiders I & II, the Destroy All Humans series, Homefront, the Red Faction series, and Saint's Row 1-3. Almost as famous as their games were the THQ marketing stunts, including a Golden Wii.

I'm buying it on day one. Need something to pull me away from Black Ops for a little while.. I'm hoping that it'll succeed in doing so. :)
