After The Full-Game Release, Along Came A Demo

Call of Duty: Black Ops was recently released as a single-player demo on the PSN and Xbox LIVE. The demo came out a whole four months after the game was released way back in November of last year.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has sold over 18 million copies worldwide thus far so my question is this. Who the heck is downloading the demo?

Yeah, I really don't get why they would release a demo after the games release like way after. They did the samething for MW2 and I'm pretty sure it was more than 4 months.

Lots of companies do this. Konami did it with MGS4, I think IW did it with MW2 too. It's just an extra bit of advertising. It does perhaps seem a bit odd for a game so focused on MP to do it but still, it will usually bring in more sales, everyone likes a demo and for those still on the fence about a game it's a good chance for them to try it, no matter if it's before or after a game's release.

Hmph, if you wanna advertise your game. Keep supporting it with fresh new, "Free" content. Valve has been "doing it right" ever since 2007 and people are still buying their games because the free stuff justifies the asking price and moreso.

They got the money. Why not try and get more, by showing a demo? It doesn't matter either way. They will get more people buying it.

Black Ops 1 Nuketown versus Cold War Nuketown '84

From DownSights: "Black Ops is not Black Ops without Nuketown. Following the tradition of releasing Nuketown for Black Ops games, the new Black Ops Cold War game also offers a revamped Nuketown called Nuketown '84.

Nuketown '84 has the same dimensions and map layout except for the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics have changed to fit the 80s theme, with destroyed buildings and graffiti-filled walls compared to a clean 50s suburban neighborhood seen in Black Ops 1."
