Player Affinity: What We Want: Assassin's Creed III

Myself, Jay Malone, writes: "Sequels are coming out on almost a bi-weekly basis, and a majority of those sequels either suck or don’t do enough iteration on their previous installment. So we here at the Player Affinity Xbox team decided to start a feature where we state what should change in the next installment of a popular (or not so popular) franchise. The game doesn’t have to be announced, it just has to be an inevitable release. Without further ado, let’s start this thing out with Assassin’s Creed 3."

i rather they take a break so Assassin's creed 3 can be innovative

TheGamerGeek2840d ago

I would like that too but Assassin's Creed sales. And Ubisoft likes money constantly flowing in.

... and enjoying and admiring it immensely. What a fantastic game!

What I'd like to see for Assassin's Creed 3:

- Asian setting.
- Please stop with that whole sci-fi Desmond bullshit. Nobody gives a flying squirel about that.

How 'bout an ending that makes some F-ing sense and doesn't leave the player with his jaw open wider than Jenna Jameson's?

Just finished AC 2 last month and LOVED the story, but felt it ended abruptly and without ANY type of closure, just like the first game, and from what i hear....brotherhood is the same way.

"and from what i hear....brotherhood is the same way."

It's actually worse (meaning you would lose your jaw o_O), but you can't deny the fact that it makes you want to see what happens next, so it works pretty nicely as a cliffhanger.

Maybe it's just their way of doing things, 3 games, 3 cliffhangers, but each new game had more time dedicated to Desmond so I guess the next Assassin's Creed will be more focused on him than ever before, while still giving us another great story from the past.

There's just one thing I believe is wrong with the way they handled the franchise, while Desmond's story goes on with the games, Altair's story never got a proper ending (and the PSP game is forgettable), even Ezio's story wasn't ended in AC 2, and I'm not sure they knew back then that they would make Brotherhood instead of AC 3 to give Ezio some more time.
If we're never going to see an ancestor again, the developers should at least give them their own ending, even if the real main character is Desmond.
"And he lived happily ever after" is better than nothing, I guess.

I love Assassin's Creed as much as the next guy, but I think ubisoft should take a year break.

Enough with Ezio and Italy Renaissance. They were great, but Brotherhood were already one step too far, take your time and move on with the plot.
