So I just checked my email this afternoon and found a newsletter from Xbox that had all sorts of nice statistics. Be aware that Xbox is keeping track of every single moment you spend online and they have the numbers to prove it.
They're all doing this. Wii and PS3 too. Scary stuff.
Probably the scariest thing is the fact that this guy played this many hours last month.... sad.
12 hrs and 36 min of time vested in to making his avatar look like that? And I complain to my wife for taking so long to pick out an outfit. sheesh
191 hours a month is about 6 hours a day. Its not THAT sad. Especially for someone who works as a game journalist.
How in the hell is that many hours possible, no life? I am hoping this person works for MS and has a 360 at work, if not, this is a low life.
really, who spends 12 hours in avatar editor? wtf, is that even possible? well, clearly...
Sometimes the simplest things can get you hooked. Creating something can take a lot longer for others compared to some.
Wish you could see your stats from your entire period on Xbox Live.
That would be cool. Same with Facebook. I wonder how much of my life I have spent gaming and on social networking sites
Jesus my stats would be scary this last month ;o
my 8 hours is accurate lol.......last fm is the only thing i use my 360 for -_-
yea i just got the email, it's kind of unerving to be honest but whatever.
link to look at stats? i haven't gotten the email
That's just basic shizz. I mean, I would be a little ashamed, personally, if I had a reminder that I spent over 12 hours in the AVATAR EDITOR.. but thank goodness that wouldn't happen to me. I mean, I play WoW. Every little thing you do in that game is tracked, so I dunno, I guess I figured a super huge company with an online business would track at least basic shiz like this. They most likely want to personalize their advertising at you, eventuallyy
Have it your way, thenn. Shit.
To be honest, I sometimes swear on N4G but I forget to censor the word and never really got in trouble from a moderator for that matter. Or it could be the fact that some words don't really have to be censored as much as others.
I personally had 211 hours last month on XBL, a lot of that was Netflix though. 88 hours on Black Ops and 13 Hours on Alan Wake and 65 hours on Netflix. That being said, I'm not the only one in the house who uses my Xbox 360 for Netflix. I personally like the idea of knowing how much time is spent on the games and everything else.
"I KNOW I don't spend hardly any time in the avatar editor." SURE. its ok to admit you like playing dress up with yer virtual ken doll.
lol, I only have 16 minutes...Definitely not renewing Gold anymore. XBL suuuuuccccckkkkks IMO
ahh still anyone post a link?
Mine is similar. But I just leave my 360 on connected to Live a lot.
Why are you leaving your 360 on, I mean there are really some stupid people out there.
Here's are few examples: -I'll turn my 360 on, make some toast or crumpets or tea, and then I'll start play it. -I may be in the middle of a game and can't save, so I just leave it on until I get ready to go back to it. -I leave it on to install games. Really? That's stupid? My 360 is on idle right now, and I want a break from being frustraded with a boss on Castlevania: LOS.
