In case you didn’t know, Call of Duty’s multiplayer is popular. Like, outrageously popular. Take a look at the number of online players on either PSN or XBL and you’ll not only see Black Ops sitting comfortably at the top of both lists but you’ll also see that many of its forbearers such as Modern Warfare and World at War are still putting up stupidly high numbers years after their original release. The majority of franchises would usually see previous releases all but disappear from the most played charts once the latest iteration in the series hits the shelves, but not Call of Duty, oh no, this bad boy has got some serious legs.
Licensing issues often leave many games forgotten. But all that aside, here are 10 classic games desperate for remasters.
The getaway
Smugglers run
Dead to rights
Worlds scariest police chases
Sure I’m missing a few.
Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.
Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Terminus Island map is recreated for World at War and it looks scarier than the original version!
The Black Ops series has featured some of the best and classic multiplayer maps in the Call of Duty franchise, and here's the top of them.
I love me some Call of Duty. You're completely right. It is all based on reaction time. Whoever can pull the trigger faster is the better player. But I guess for me it's getting online with a few friends and just mopping up the other teams. I constantly try to get my K/D ratio up (currently at 1.41) Also just trying new strategies on the maps. Like seeing an enemy far down the map but a little too far to hit. Which way am I going to take to cut him off? Then how can I get to the enemy spawn safely to take out as many of the opposing team as possible before I get killed. It sounds simple but on certain areas of some maps things can get really tactical just choosing which path to take and where to drop certain equipment. But basically what it comes down to is there are so many people playing COD that I can always get into a match and I love to play Cod online with a group of friends, Makes for good friendly competition. Without them I would not be as good as I am and I would rarely be on Cod.
BerNardoMan420 on PSN Add me if you would like a good challenge. Don't let that not so great K/D fool you. I'm a beast.
I agree with the article and I played all the COD but only completed COD4 single player mode. I'm not a COD junky but played my fare share of MW2 because as JobForARockStar stated your friends are playing and there are always people playing. Hopefully Homefront will be a good play if not RPGs here I come.
