The original Xbox was a beast. I miss it. I will never forget playing Halo: CE for the first time at a Comp USA. You can use the Xbox as a pretty good HTPC too.

i love my original xbox, i admit, i modded it for the USEFUL homebrew. it was my media center and my gaming machine. it was all going so well, and then microsoft releases the xbox360 4 years later. oh how it all went so wrong so fast. i started pirating games out of spite. at the time, i saw the xbox360 as microsofts way of charging me for something i already had. with better graphics! i still use it though, next to my ps3. build quality is incredible.

The Xbox is still relevant in gaming? If it were, you might have a point. But since it's a dead console, no one cares. It's cool that some people found a way to extend their console's life. It won't bother me or anyone else one bit.

The console may be irrelevant, but the games sure aren't. It is still kicking (it was built like a tank, great quality) and I still haven't seen a game this gen that is as innovative w/ addicting infinite game play as phantom dust (personnel opinion of course). If only they can revive some old favorites from xbox (phantom dust, jet set radio, Otogi, advent rising, jade empire, KOTOR, panza dragoon orta) i'll be a happy gamer.

The first comment on this story aggravated some apprehension I have towards flamboyant homosexual tendencies. It's great that such original games are to be played on the first Xbox. However, I have been dissuaded into reading the story, due in part to the emphasis placed on love and the use of the word scene.
