It's just too Epic! My jaw hit the ground when I saw the gameplay.

Day One for my PC. This is Shooter of the year.

Who's gonna compete with this?

Spinal5236d ago

lol Duke is just an Arcade Shooter. Aliens & Monsters. I liked it back on my N64.

Battlefield is a Military War Simulator. Not no COD sh1t.

WhiteNoise5236d ago

@spinalc0rd

"Military War Simulator"

The fact that you capitalized that means you believe what you are saying...

That's just sad.

I bet you do this while setting in the dark in full camo gear in your bedroom with Apocalypse Now posters all over the walls

http://www.lestelleshow.nel...

It's just a game.

RedDead5236d ago (Edited 5236d ago )

spinal, battlefield is far from a sim...

It's more of a mix between casual and sim. It's somewhere in the middle and in the best area imo. BF3 looks to be the king returning truely. Also the Duke will take second place imo, Deus Ex could have taken it but with all the animation kills it lost it's place to me/

Battlefield for Multi anyway, Duke for single.
Also, don't act so fanboyish with Itachi as your avatar pic please.

Nothing wrong with arcade shooters either, they're fun as hell.

evrfighter5236d ago (Edited 5236d ago )

Reddead has it.

Battlefield is a perfect middle ground between sim and run and gun shooter.

You get all sorts of different players that play battlefield from across different genres.

You get the flyboys that love their flight sims that stop by when they need a break from flying to wreak havoc from the air.

you get the valve community and they are among the best ground pounders in gaming. either lone wolf or with a friend or two.

you get the combat sim (arma) military and ex-military types that join servers and focus on squad play. I find that individually they aren't much of a threat but working as a squad they can be annoying especially when they have armor rolling with them.

then you get your all around pub scrubs, cod k/d whores, legit noobs, random person that's just killin time that usually go sniper mixed with whatever's the cheesiest perk/unlock and focus on k/d ratio instead of going for the W. Nothing wrong with these types if your team has them in moderation as they can be decent filler. Too much of these at once means you're gonna be chaining losses.

You'll meet all kinds of different players in battlefield because it doesn't try to hard to be sim and it definitely is nowhere close to being arcade cod. mindless arcade has its moments so i'm not bashing it.

jaw literally hit the ground when i saw it as well...

possibly the best graphics i've seen in a while.. well that and killzone 3

earbus5236d ago

Ill get pc and 360 big bf fan just to play with friends as i suck on pc but still love it.

dannybohy5236d ago

Will it have Lean and Prone?. If not, im sticking with Cod4....still.

jashmister5236d ago

Lean is stupid and it does have prone, and cod4 doesn't have lean anyway.

GrumpyVeteran5236d ago

COD4 has lean.

Just not on the shitty consoles.

dannybohy5236d ago

cod4 does, on the PC, just not on the consoles, something isnt stupid just because its not on your console. If you were in battle, im guessing you would rather lean around a corner first! instead of just popping your whole body out?

yume-k5236d ago (Edited 5236d ago )

Groundbreaking game engine?
I've saw the trailer and the screenshots, looks good, blur and some nice effect bet nothing groundbreaking, still Crysis 2 has better texture IMO.

Seriously stop exaggerating!

WhiteNoise5236d ago

I agree, they said the same thing about BFBC2.

The 'DX11 soft shadows!!!!!' were worse than the shadows in many DX10 games.

Besides some really nice dust effects and realistic bloom...it didn't have much going for it.

Any second now before someone says "But this is a whole new engine!!!!"

History always repeats, I'm sure it will look good but I doubt it will be the best looking engine "Of All TIME!"(TM) -Kanye West.

Red Engine used in the Witcher 2 looks far more impressive to me. Photorealism has become an excuse for boring art style. There is always room for stylization.

Active Reload5236d ago

I really can't disagree...

Hairy Chewie5236d ago

Does Crysis do full blown destruction? A-nooooooooo.

FanboyPunisher5236d ago

It looks like crap compared to BF3.

In addition to the roughly 100 job cuts IGN reported earlier today at Respawn Entertainment, EA has made wider cuts across its organization today, impacting around 300 individuals total including those already reported at Respawn.

Lightning7756d ago

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

127maXimus56d ago

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
