For all the ambitious but ultimately speculative claims that Killzone 3 will usurp Call of Duty’s first person shooter throne, we’ve got one thing to say: it doesn’t. Those of you who will be buying Killzone 3 based on any such claims will be very disappointed, especially in light of the fact that Killzone 2 is still one of the best shooters of the current generation, and that there was every reason to hope that Killzone 3 would mark another considerable step forward for the series. As tt turns out, it actually takes backward steps back in some of the most vital departments.

This is a well-written and thoughtful review, but it focuses almost entirely on the SP campaign. Online multiplayer only gets mentioned in a sentence toward the very end.

I'm sure I'll play the campaign eventually, but I'm jumping straight into warzone tomorrow and plan to be there for a while.

In sales, no way! Quality-wise? Any day of the week!

Call of Duty has become stagnant, unoriginal, mainstream and casual. Why do people put it on this pedestal as if the series is currently providing the best FPS experience ever created?

Killzone dares to be different. So does Battlefield - and these series are critisized for it!
