the faces are to much they are more realistic than the rest of the body..
UC3 will do better with motion capture this year..

im-12-years-old4812d ago

Yeah I kinda hate the way the textures look in this game. It also looks like the faces don't have enough detail, but maybe thats just me.

Lamarthedancer4812d ago

I think thats what people don't seem to realise

It's "OMG OMG look at the brilliant realistic faces"

Yes they are amazing but theres more to a body then a face

MintBerryCrunch4812d ago

they had to sacrifice one over the other...having full body motion capture as well as facial animations would have meant the expensive cameras they used for capturing face animations would have been useless...to me it looks better than GTA IV...

im sure Bondi will continue to make everything better and seamless as we get closer to release date

peowpeow4812d ago

It's not noticeable for me, and so I think it looks amazing :)

TheLastGuardian4812d ago

You can have your doubts now but once this game releases I think everyone is going to be talking about how great LA Noire is.

seinfan4812d ago

The technology used for the faces is for the sole purpose of trying to figure out if a person is lying when interrogating them. It adds an entirely new element to the gameplay.

When games focus on one aspect of their game too much they end up f'ing up the rest of the game. Look at Mercenaries 2. I remember watching all these vids on the destruction and shit. I was ecstatic that an open world game could have all that destruction. I got the game and found that the destruction was indeed great but everything else sucked. gunplay, enemies were retarded, story was shit.

R* has a good track record though so we'll see.

Urrakia344812d ago (Edited 4812d ago )

Except L.A. Noire isn't developed by Rockstar, it's by Team Bondi. Rockstar is the publisher

edit: @sanad- You are correct. His name is Brendan McNamara I believe

Tr10wn4812d ago

If my memory don't fail me, Team Bondi director is the same that make The Getaway which was a pretty good game, i heard something like that but i'm not sure.

HeavenlySnipes4812d ago

That unskippable beginning cutscene where your wife gets killed, the driving and congested streets, the gunplay.

There were good things like the police setting up blockades and stuff but I really hated the game overall.

PS3 Supremacy4812d ago

Facial animations are superb. This is like Phoenix Wright as a cop instead of a lawyer.

this game looks great i hope the gameplay and the story is just amazing

Ex-Rockstar Dev Finally Explains Why Small Planes Randomly Crashed in GTA San Andreas

Former Rockstar Games Technical Director Obbe Vermeij has finally revealed why some planes would randomly crash in GTA: San Andreas.

Profchaos18d ago

This fly by feature was on the cutting room floor due to the random plane crashes and it's one of those things I'm so thankful made it into the final version as these random fly by and crashes make the world seem more alive on the extremely limited PS2 hardware you needed everything you could possibly get in a open world to convey that feeling.

And accross hundreds of hours of gameplay I probably died around 3 times as a result of these fly by failures but I loved every time it happened

isarai18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

It made the world feel more human, and honestly kinda insane that even today with all these open world games, almost no one can capture that like R* even when compared to their ps2 games

Skuletor17d ago

Lol, I remember those. I vaguely remember dying from one crashing into my car once too.

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor18d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8518d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius17d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius17d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor17d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either
