It seem's there is many 3rd party game engines to choose from already that will work with the NGP.

Vision
Unity3D
Unreal 3
Asura game engine
ID soft's
Etc.

so far The full list (all 83 developers)Add in the Playstation Suite developer's also an that is Quite the Number of developer's that can make software that will run on this single device!

an it seem's there is many 3rd party game engines an middle ware that will work on the NGP to boot. that's a great sign for support for the NGP!

nice list except unreal 3 (looks at borderlands then looks at red fraction)

remember that's quite often the skill of the development team an it's art style an art direction will determine how well the game is received. Just like in Every day life there are teams more experienced with the hardware an have more life time skill in many cases. Not to say a young vibrant team cannot outdo an older group of developer's though!

lol

anyway, the key about this though is Sony's NGP platform is using the Arm coretex design for it's CPU an GPU needs, an that is quite a benefit to 3rd party developer's an their Game engines because the tool chains an API's are already Mature an well established!

It is a tremendous combination of excitement, cognitive challenges, and emotional payoffs, and if you are up to the challenge, How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is a game that you should try, a bold, lean masterstroke in asymmetric game design.
