StrengthGamer: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Review

"Marvel vs. Capcom has returned, in the cleverly titled Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Boasting a character roster of 36 iconic Marvel and Capcom characters, an Offline mode featuring Arcade, Versus, Training, and Missions, plus an Online mode with lobbies and quick matches, it has the ammunition to destroy the competition. So does it? No - not even close."

I really hate the online menu. Capcom cant program for shit on the PS3. The game is fun but its not a game you should take serious like blazblue, tekken, or sf4. I just know one thing if Sentinel turn on X-factor give up especially if your not near him.

This "review" is nothing more than a rant from a butthurt scrub who cannot comprehend fighting game gameplay and strategy.

The number one reason people cry and moan "broken" "unbalanced" is because they personally don't know how to overcome a situation so rather than taking the time to learn they just blame the game.

Tactics like runaway and zoning are present in ALL 2d fighters, its a legitimate strategy but nothing is full proof, if you cant beat someone who's just "spamming" then guess what... you are the one who sucks.

This part was funny..

"These issues could be overlooked if the controls were solid. They unfortunately are not. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has completely obliterated the control scheme, dumbing it down to a four-button press game. Rather than having a button press for a low punch/kick, medium punch/kick, heavy punch/kick, and special attacks, all of the attacks are assigned to the four main buttons. They have Light, Medium, Heavy, and Special. When you want to pull off a Special Move, just mash the Medium and Heavy buttons together after performing a stick trick (ex: quarter, circle, punch)"

^ Yeah cos Mvc2 had 6 attack buttons right? plus supers and specials are performed the exact same way as MvC2, soooo the guy just proves he's bitching for the sake of bitching.

If you agree with this "review" just move on to something else, obviously this genre is not for you.

I think you missed the point. Next Gen fighters do have 6 button presses. Light Punch, Medium Punch, Light Kick, Medium Kick, Heavy, Special.

Noticed you didn't write this comment on the actual site - afraid of the author's rebuttal?

lol @ genre not for you

Blazblue is the best fighter this generation and it has 4 buttons but its not dis damn simplified. I bet you one of the zone type players that run like turtles.

WutPleaze5198d ago

The second one is way better

UnSelf5198d ago

i hate that i have to agree wit ya two

topdawg1225198d ago

You guys have to be joking. Surely this doesn't deserve a 6.

harrisonxxi5198d ago

It doesnt, people have way too high an expectation for the game, and while its not as good imo as the 2nd one, its a whole lot less cheesy at times and tbh I cant stop playing it. While I hate the new button layout, it still works very well and is fun as hell to play, especially with friends.

Every Marvel vs. Capcom Character, Together At Last

Artist Chris Cayco, who we’ve featured a few times before on Kotaku, grew up playing Marvel vs. Capcom (and Marvel vs. Street Fighter) games. His tribute to this, which took him over 175 hours, was to combine every single character to ever appear in Capcom’s crossover series in the one enormous image.

Every Capcom Vs. Game Ranked

As common as it is today, it is hard to believe that there was a time where gaming franchises crossing over was just a pipe dream. Capcom broke down the wall, but they took the combination of some of the most unlikely of franchises and made it the norm.

Whether it was a colossal successful partnership with Marvel Comics or a collaboration with rivals Namco and SNK, the “Vs.” series brought unforgettable experiences to the fighting genre.
