i believe the trailer was brilliant. i never connected with a character this much just from watching a trailer. im amazed. really. like wow

This trailer is just freak'n awesome and i agree, there is some sort of a connection that goes on. They had the right music to give the right feeling. I swear this is like a really really god movie trailer that just makes you want to see more.

idk y but i want the game to be about this family.

kingjoker344809d ago

well if it does revolve around this family it kinda spoiled it lol, i mean the only person who is not zombified is the mother right?

SasanovaS19874809d ago

nah, i think it will be something like left 4 dead...you have 4 different people from 4 different backgrounds, all telling their story or something...would be kinda interesting..its like your playing 4 different story lines

Nitrowolf24809d ago

@kingjoker34

yeah it kind of just gives out a huge spoiler, like SasanovaS1987 said it will prob be like that, although i can't imagine the mother surviving with just a knife and in a room thats filled with zombie. Guess its safe to assume she dies also.

But it would neat t have a Heavy Rain sort of feeling.

Nitrowolf24809d ago

plus this is just mainly about the outbreak i think or how it went for one family, in the background you can see more people fending off zombies (at the start)

I thoroughly enjoyed this trailer as well....I like to consider myself a horror film connoisseur, and have watched everything ranging from Nosferatu to more recent titles like 28 Days Later etc......and I would consider this trailer "Movie" worthy let alone "Video Game" worthy...a brave choice on their part to show the realism of the situation by initially beginning with the death of a child, and backtracking to show the desperation of survival itself...I suppose this game is now officially on my "Radar"

Indeed the trailer was fantastic!

My only worry though is that, will they be able to make a game that makes you feel just as emotionally connected? they set a very high bar with this trailer.

Judging by the facebook details on the game also, it doesn't seem very "fresh" it seems like a more serious version of dead rising(with a similar name).

The details say its an open world zombie game set on an island resort with rpg elements. Based on that and this trailer it does seem like it will be a serious take on the dead rising thing, which to be honest im all for! :)

Im sure the facebook also mentions co-op which is awesome if they also allow online co-op :D

We'll see, i hope they do a great job with the final game.

Fantastic trailer. I'm not sure how good the game is going to be, but that is a great trailer.

Acquiescence4809d ago

when you know that the final product isn't going to be anything like it.

distorted_reality4809d ago

The trailer is the best of the year so far by a long shot imo, and I don't know if anything will beat it. There is no reason at all for this to be controversial - people should just enjoy it for what it is, a brilliantly written trailer for what will more that likely be a mediocre game.

"I'd say being a parent does make me more sensitive to images of child death. Which doesn't feel that unhealthy IMO"

Fair enough.

But death by zombie?? Come on. Let's be serious here. I can understand people being upset by seeing images of child death in any realistic scenario - but being eaten by a zombie? How could anyone form an attachment in their mind between a little girl that gets eaten by zombies and then thrown out of a window, and their own little girl?

whydoyouask4809d ago

That's why people find it so controversial, video game trailers aren't like movie trailers and run a lot more risk at not representing the final product.

It's like yeah, the trailer is cool and all, but they should have at least released some game-play footage beforehand so people don't become disenchanted.

Although, movie trailers don't exactly tell the truth, but you can be pretty sure that those scenes in the trailer would actually be IN the movie.

I'm pretty much guaranteeing that the actual game will NOT be anything like this trailer. NOTHING.

That's why it's controversial.

distorted_reality4809d ago

Um, that's not controversial, that's standard practice. The controversy revolves around the whole kiddie death thing.

whydoyouask4809d ago

@distorted_reality

That's why? People actually care about that?
