PCGamer: The 100 best PC games of all time

This gets harder every year. Every year new games are released, old favourites are replayed, obscure indies capture our hearts, and games that we once knew are updated until they’re unrecognisable. We’re fickle, argumentative people in love with the most dynamic gaming platform on the planet, and we’re only allowed to pick 100 games?

My favorite PC game of all time and I can say this confidently is NOLF2.
Would be amazing if they made a sequel running the Cryengine with DX11 from the ground up. One can only dream.

One of the funniest, best stories ever in any game. It was that good.
They really need to do another one. And ASAP.
I am getting tired of COD, Halo, KZ, Gears and those type of shooters with less imagination.

I've wanted another NOLF sequel for years, I loved both of them. Two of the funniest games ever made.

I also loved both of those games. A lot of people forget about Contract: J.A.C.K. which was also part of the universe but failed to compare to the original two games. It was Monolith's first foray into a more action styled game. After Contract: J.A.C.K.'s failure they went on to concentrate on the FEAR series which I've never been bothered to play.

wow totally forgot about that game

Excellent list. Can't think of any other game more deserving of the #1 spot than Deus Ex. Completely blew me away the first time I played it and continues to do so everytime I replay it.

Liked the list, but where is Master of Orion, Stonekeep and Descent to Undermountain?

I wish they would make more games like Homeworld and Freespace.

I can't believe Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast or any of the games in the series didn't make the list. Jedi Outcast was an amazing game.
