IGN: PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter Review

Is the Sharp Shooter a must-have? Hardly, but if you're a fan of shooters and you want to use the PlayStation Move, it is the only way to go, at least until someone comes up with something better. With digital button mapping, a solid design, and a game that implements it effectively, the Sharp Shooter can be a fun and surprisingly precise peripheral, and at $39.99, it's a pretty good value.

Looks like a nice peripheral. Too bad it's not black, though this was done to avoid tricking others into thinking it's a real weapon.

I'm day 1'ing this. Looks too sweet to pass up.

@ BakedGoods
I can't, I just bought a second PS3 with the Killzone 3 package now I'm broke. But it's a happy broke so don't feel sorry for me.

I just got this yesterday from ebgames and Im really surprised at how well it works. Not only that but it feels very comfertable and looks alot better then what I thought it would.Love where the buttons are.For $39 its worth every penny considered i could use this gun in upcoming games.

WildArmed5240d ago

Yeah, I heard the same when it came to color.

I was impressed how the implemented it (Reload button on the side) among others.
Thou I know I won't ever get one, but it's good to know it's out there.
Maybe I'll convince a buddy to get it and then basically steal it for a few weeks :D

I will pick this up, move, and the navigation controller up shortly. I decided there are enough games to warrant the purchases.

The integration with the shooters feel great/natural. You will be pleased (When you do just make sure you set your 'deadzone' configurations to 0%). It will make sense.

nix5240d ago (Edited 5240d ago )

yup.. deadzone to "zero" is a must. things just run smoothly after that. i have a pistol (handgun) because i doubt i'll be able to point for long hours. pistol helps me little bit because holding only a Move controller with trigger shooting feels odd.

but i'll be picking up Sharpshooter nevertheless.

eggbert5240d ago

man, the buttons are finally fixed. the other peripherals had it so you still had to press the buttons on the damned controller.

sickbird5240d ago

will be picking this up after class tuesday morning, hopefully my copy of KZ3 will arrive shortly after or else it will be a loongggg afternoon.

gamingisnotacrime5240d ago

for KZ3, Soccom 4 and Dead Space Extraction, among others of course

The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
