Here is what EA Mobile thinks of the Xperia Play

As the Xperia Play grows its portfolio and library, so does amount of developers that will support the hand-held. EA Mobile, one of the top mobile developers, has a video out on what they think about Sony Ericsson's new Xperia Play. VP of Publishing, Luca Pagano seems to be very pleased for having a mobile phone out there with the capabilities of being able to "actually play" video games on a mobile phone. With EA fully supporting Sony's new device, get ready to see more developers make some awesome games for this phone.

Delivering even more graphics than this(making any nay sayer jump like pussies on this),don't kno yo but, don't forget this device can be upgraded yearly and the idea behind this for sony is neat, I see it becoming the standard and it should, it would do us better than having a machine that only have one important function in the long term.

well in sheer number of releases they sure are! However, what u mean is that just numbers don't mean top quality...

Activision is the largest publisher in the world, that don't mean they are good or offer top quality titles..

actually yes they have been the one of the top mobile developers for awhile now they are number on the iphone so that shows something. so that shows he is not lying...and i think they do give top grade quality games on the mobile phones compare to other developers.

I'm looking for a new phone. I was almost leaning back to an iPhone 4 but this looks much better.

I just want a smart phone, that can do what smart phones do, and do a little gaming on it. The problem with gaming on phone for me has always been the controls. Virtual sticks on the screen suck. This looks like a great solution.

That and the fact we'll be getting PSOne, and hopefully even PS2 games and that pretty much seals it for me.

As long as I can get a good contract with a good carrier and theres not some gamebreaking flaw with the phone then this will be mine.

its a good carrier its Verizon i prefer them than any other carrier they might be lil pricey but i like there service

I like the idea if this phone but it is just abit to big to carry around with you day by day as a phone. This is the sort of thing android needs though as it is not on the same quality as iPhone or windows phone 7 for games.
But imo if your looking for a new phone look at the HTC hd7 imo it beats the iPhone and android phones out there at the moment. I have been trying to find the best phone and os for the last 18 months and when I got the hd7 I found it by far the best out of all the other phones and os I used. Yes at this moment in time wp7 is missing a few functions but as was shown yesterday they will be sending out a few updates this year to put them in and add even more to the phone. But wp7 is very stable fast good Apps and wmp is getting bigger each day. To me MS go the os right it is slap bang in the middle of IOS and android in the way it has been designed and will work well for MS in the net 12 months.

What are you talkin about? with Ps Games the xperia play will have way better games than WP7 an iphone. An i have an iPhone 4 that im currently using. Touchscreen gaming really Sucks! i only put up with it cause theres no alternative for a Phone. But with the xperia play bye bye iphone 4.

The desire HD is a good choice I know a few people with the phone even my other half has one. So you won't go wrong with it at all. I just think wp7 is better than android as it fits my life better. But its each to there own and I'm sure you will be pleased when you get you hands on the desire HD. My only advice would be don't get a branded phone as it takes for ever to get the updates off the company when everyone else gets there's as soon as HTC have the update ready.

i wonder if people realize ever single game the xperia gets the psp2 gets as well. In addition to being a real game handheld that plays real games.

It doesnt play ps2 games, it doesnt play psp games, and it wont play anything that the psp2 wont.

and the NGP cant make phone calls hence the reason this device exists

and your wrong btw, the NGP wont be getting the current or future android games available for obvious reasons

stop trying to downplay this device and just accept that people do want this
