Marvel V.S. Capcom 3: Four Characters That Should Have Made The Roster

The only reason why I would disagree with the list would be the fact that all four characters are Marvel characters!

I've been saying Carnage and Apocalypse for months. Nice to see some backup on that. Too bad it's not coming from Capcom. Wankers.

Ageed, those four should have been added. Side note, the Maximum Carnage game was fun when I was a kid, and the friggin cartridge was red. RED!

Anyways, yeah it would have made sense to add Bishop after the huge Messiah Complex arc.

Punisher would have been a nice addition, would have been also nice to have Frankencastle as an alternate attire.

Apocolypse also was part of the Messiah Complex arc, so he would have been a nice addition too.

Carnage has a new bi-monthly (I think) series and even if he didn't Carnage is one of the all time badass Spider-Man villains. I would have loved to see him in the game. Now I'm curious what his finisher would be. Something awesome I imagine.

Have to concur. The Maximum Carnage game was a gem of the 16-bit era! Loved the heck out of that game.

I both hope and dread the arrival of DLC characters. We already know it's possible since Jill and Shuma Gorath are coming. I see theme packs (X-Men, Mega Man characters, Dead Rising, etc) as huge moneymakers for Capcom.

I think the cast in MvC3 is really lacking and I also dont like the graphics. I have I feeling this game is like their beta and 6 months or so after its up they will Release a Super MvC3 or whatever they name it

No, i wouldve liked to see Venom at least. Definately, Talbain and Lord Raptor from Darkstalkers! They always use Morrigan. At least they are using Felicia from Darkstalkers!

By the way, Darkstalkers has some of the most interesting and coolest looking Capcom fighter characters of all time! They might do a new one if they get enough votes. Go to Capcom website and vote people. Awesome characters!!!

Bishop has potential because he would have to be a counter based character given his powers, but that is already partially covered by Wesker/Taskmaster/Ammy who all have powerful counters already. Plus, how many xmen/xmen villains are in this game already? 5?

Beast is another flavor of she hulk/rushdown character.

Punisher - gun guys already covered by Chris Redfield, Deadpool, Dante

Apocalypse - meh I don't really see how Apocalypse offers anything special. His powers don't really lend themselves to any unique gameplay mechanics and again, the Xmen/mutant string of marvel is over represented as it is.

Carnage - like apocalypse, why? His powers again don't lend themselves to anything particularily unique. He is another shape shifter with some spiderman overtones. I think Green Goblin would be a much better pick for a unique villain from the spider man universe.

I think they could have done Loki really well. Give him gameplay based around mixups and deception and you could have a unique character that fits well into the game given thors inclusion.

Doc Ock could have been good replacement for Spencer.

Adam Warlock could have been a cool Captain Commando style character by having team summons (Pip, Gamora and Drax the Destroyer) along with having some soul gem moves/hyper combos.

There are lots of chars they could have included, but this is the first of this series on this gen and I think they did a pretty solid job overall with their character selection. There are a few meh entries imo, but you can't please everyone.

With a game like this, it's impossible to satisfy every fan. The roster is really good as it is though, there should be something for everyone.
