Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Character List Breakdown

From the PlanetXbox360.com feature article:

"The full roster for Capcom’s epic fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds has been revealed, and you’ll be able to choose from 36 great combatants…at first, anyway. More fighters are expected to be introduced from Capcom over the course of the game’s release, via downloadable content. We already know Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine and Marvel’s Shuma-Gorath will be available, courtesy of the game’s Special Edition. (A separate download should be available as well) We’re also eager to see if any rumored characters show up, such as Phoenix Wright. As we all wait until next week for the most-anticipated fighting game of 2011 - Marvel vs. Capcom 3, let’s run through all 36 of the fighters that we know will be included in the game, and whether they’re worth your time. Stay tuned to this article for any DLC character updates should they come in from Capcom, the game hits store shelves next week and PlanetXbox360.com will have a full review around that time."

Aren't Amaterasu, Phoenix, Thor, and Dormammu gods or something, so why is are their ratings only a 7&8 compared to Captain America's 8????? I've seen Phoenix gameplay and she's easily a 10, OMEGA cheap when she turns into Dark Phoenix.

And isn't Dr. Doom one of Marvels worst baddies so why tie with Cap.????? (Same for Super Skrull since he has all the Fantastic 4 powers)

Trish would utterly kill C. Viper in a fight.

WTF Wolverine a 10. LMAO.

Anywho I'm looking forward to the game.

Michael-Jackson4874d ago

Don't know but I heard that Phoenix has low health.

ABizzel14874d ago

I heard that as well MJ, but when you can fully restore your health bar and become more powerful it really doesn't matter if you health is low.

Baka-akaB4874d ago

even with the second bar she has the lowest life (840). She seems to own when played properly , but getting hit is a no-no

BigPappaPump4874d ago

Just a fighting game, it's definitely not canon Marvel wise. Call it a fan service. You can't have people like Thor, Hulk or Phoenix play to their full power or they'd be owning all day. It's necessary to depower them to make the game more balanced among the fighters.

BubloZX4874d ago

wow no ones over 9000? dang Goku would dump on em' all day lol. anyway I can't wait for this game gettin thr CE at gamestop

Every Marvel vs. Capcom Character, Together At Last

Artist Chris Cayco, who we’ve featured a few times before on Kotaku, grew up playing Marvel vs. Capcom (and Marvel vs. Street Fighter) games. His tribute to this, which took him over 175 hours, was to combine every single character to ever appear in Capcom’s crossover series in the one enormous image.

Every Capcom Vs. Game Ranked

As common as it is today, it is hard to believe that there was a time where gaming franchises crossing over was just a pipe dream. Capcom broke down the wall, but they took the combination of some of the most unlikely of franchises and made it the norm.

Whether it was a colossal successful partnership with Marvel Comics or a collaboration with rivals Namco and SNK, the “Vs.” series brought unforgettable experiences to the fighting genre.
