IGN UK reviews Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland

Of all the Nintendo support characters to get their own game, surely Tingle must seem like the most unlikely. He's a balding, 35-year-old fat bloke with a penchant for green body stockings and mannerisms so camp they make Kenneth Williams look positively butch. Yet here we are about to review a game that features not only Tingle as the lead character, but a bunch of other misfits that look like they've escaped from Hyrule's mental asylum. But while Tingle's quirky charms certainly won't be for everyone, those willing to look past some of the game's underlying shortcomings - and there are many - will discover something of a unique, albeit flawed, DS title.

Official site launches for Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland on DS

The official website has just gone live for possibly the strangest character Nintendo has ever created. A fairy-loving, 35-year-old bachelor who dresses a bit like Zelda's Link and has an unhealthy obsession with Rupees. Just look at him – he'd be more at home sitting by a garden pond with a fishing rod than starring in his own game.

Zelda's Tingle RPG being translated into English for Europe

Good news for "Kooloo Limpha!" Tingle fans. The zany Legend of Zelda character is getting his own RPG spinoff Nintendo DS game translated into English for a European release date in 2007.

Renamed to "Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland" for Europe, the game was released on September 2nd, 2006, in Japan where it has already sold over 200,000 units.
