Killzone 3 Multiplayer Open Beta update, new chance to win a Limited Helghast Edition

TJ Consunji // Product Marketing Manager: Killzone fans! It’s less than a week since the Killzone 3 Multiplayer Beta hit PlayStation Store, but already you’ve racked up some impressive numbers. There’s been a staggering 58 million – million! – kills, of which around 10% have been Brutal Melee kills. Some 350,000 games have been blitzed through, with well over half a million players appearing on the Killzone 3 leaderboards. And two of those players have stormed through the one million XP barrier already. The Helghast don’t know what’s hit them!

Wow some people don't have no life. How do you pass the 1 million xp barrier and the beta been out for less than a week. I think i have 150,000 xp and i played the beta alot. That is not something to be proud of.

RyuCloudStrife2811d ago

no jobs = ppl play their favorite games all day and night cuz there's no reason to sleep

deafwing2811d ago (Edited 2811d ago )

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn that's insane
ahh to be young again and not have to go to school
or work ... lol don't hate man

but yea, these numbers are bonkers ... and the Open beta is not even like the Closed beta; at least in the closed beta you had two maps but this is the same map, over and over and over and over and over and over and ...

but I guess it's a testament to just how good MP will be in KZ3 :D

If you've "played the beta alot" and only have 150,000xp, you must suck or something.

I play when I can get a match and I'm at 323,338xp.

norman292810d ago

A lot? lol i dont know what he counts as a lot but for me 150k is about 10-15 matches with 'average' 10k points each mach, and that would be a few hours gaming, so please Warp tell us what you count as a 'lot'

bet he's had a 'lot' of girlfriends eh /s

DreamTension2811d ago

And on top of that, at least for me, the severs have been down more than half the time I've tried to play...crazy.

RyuCloudStrife2811d ago

just type that on google, and see if its "at least for me"

it is amazing

are we in grammar lesson or what?

DreamTension2810d ago

No grammar lesson, he's just saying a lot of people have been having troubles with the open beta. I agree, and have been following the forums closely and its quite widespread, but that's what a beta is for...looking forward to launch day.

"Wow some people don't have no life."

Double negative. So they do have a life?

Was just about to submit this haha. I can easily believe the 1M Points mark. I'm at 180,000 points and I've played less than 10 hours total, with me being a noob the first hour.

I'm glad for the update and hopefully when I get back to my PS3 today I'll be able to get on the beta. I haven't been able to connect for the last few days.

Sorry for most of us we couldnt even get into the beta.I just got into the game today for the first time in 5 days.So its a little hard to rack up points when alot of us couldnt get in.

something from GG. Here's what they said about the beta

"From Guerrilla Games: “We are happy that we are encountering these issues now, during a Beta, instead of after launch. This will help us get ready for the huge amount of people that are expected to go online for Killzone 3’s launch.

This Beta also gives us the opportunity to change Killzone 3 based on feedback that we get. Although we’ve already gone gold, we can and will make server-side adjustments to things like weapon damage, balancing issues, and more. So this is not a demo, it is meant to be a Beta — a way for us to test the game.

Thanks for your continued patience and help in
getting this tested properly.”

Not only that they also give away a Limited Helghast Edition. THAT's how you make your game and how to treat your fans. (FU treyarch!)

ugabugaz2811d ago (Edited 2811d ago )

Wasn't really needed to bring Treyarch into this but I do agree with you that GG are great when it comes to treating their fans right. I remember during KZ2, their customer guy (Forgot the title), Seb Downie was on the PS Forums pretty much all time, answering questions and such.
