great more over priced games yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaah

why are some new games cheaper then games on demand games? makes no sense.

OC_MurphysLaw3464d ago

to answer you question, MS is trying to keep retailers happy by offering these games at the MSRP price point.

Hopefully MS will soon start doing Steam like sales with their Games on Demand similar to what they are now doing with all their other content.

I would be much more inclined to buy an Games on Demand game during a short sale than I am currently. I buy lots of Arcade titles but have yet to dip my toes in Games on Demand.

my biggest complaint is you can't buy them with ms points.

OC_MurphysLaw3464d ago

@thebudgetgamer... yes, that is by far the dumbest move they made, but again I think this move was made to keep retailers happy. You can find deals on MS points all the time... shaving off $3-5 of the cost for the pts cards. In essence it would under cut the reatailers....

I like you though would again give it more consideration if they allowed me to buy the game with either pts or dollars.

good point Dlacy, i understand.

siyrobbo3464d ago

Just pick 'em up pre-owned from your local game store.. so much cheaper.

Any idea on pricing? Probably 29.99 to 39.99 but I was curious.

is darksiders really that good? i picked it up a while back in a cheap GS sale, but have yet to start it. too many games too little time. So should i get my ass in gear and start it? or just wait til i get around to it?

Shadowolf3464d ago

You should give Darksiders a spin. As you play through each level you might start to see a multitude of game influences which feel reminiscent of many great games before it. Game like Devil May Cry, Zelda and God Of War among others come to mind. Darksiders while a solid adventure doesn't quite offer the same over the top encompassing experience as the aforementioned games however, it is definitely worth a play through. I really enjoyed it.
