Gameranx: The PC as a games platform has been a foundation for multiplayer gameplay, and was the first to feature online co-op long before Xbox Live made it onto the scene. Listed here are some of the best co-op games for PC.
Skydance Games posted an important update regarding Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra on X stating the game is now targeting an "early 2026" launch.
It´s a game from Amy Hennig after all.
I have no doubt it´s gonna be high quality on release.
Fear the Gun has called The Texas Chainsaw Massacre "fully realized" and says there will be no further updates.
"The Finland-based indie games publisher Yahaha Games and indie games developer Scared Stupid Inc, are today very happy and excited to announce that their retro point-and-click survival horror/adventure game "Midnight Special", is now available for PC via Steam Early Access." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Sven Co-op and Garry's mod can be fun too. I guess.
Calling BC2 a co-op game is a bit of a stretch though. =/
Portal 2 will be great but not out yet.
Do any PC games support offline co-op?
I disagree with this list,
Its seems to much rehashes and stretchs.
Titan quest/diablo 2
killing Flor/left 4 dead
are mostly the same he should take just one of them.
Starcraft 2 isnt really a coop game even if there maps made for coop since that allows any game with a coop to be on the list. Instead of it he should add Warhammer Dawn of War 2 for a coop rts.
Defcon is nice but i think that any civilization title offers more than this game still retaining the intrigue and planning. (and if you really want it nuclear armagedon)
BFBC although the squad mechanic gives it a little more than the avergae shooter i would argue that super realism titles such as the original ghost recon arma and flashpoint are better coop shooters.
Alright list, I've played most of them.
