First, it's a completely new game from the ground up, developed to be always-online no matter what mode you're in. Secondly, there's a huge amount of depth to the customization; not just in the mechs, naturally, but in the actual terrain you're capturing (more on that in a second).
John GodGames Emus has released some new videos, showing Haze, Afro Samurai, Armored Core V and Clash of the Titans running in 4K on the PC thanks to the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3.
Whatever happened to Afro Samurai 2? After they took it off the digital store I thought they’d come back with an improved product
The framerate and rending were more of the concern over resolution for me, and I can see they are making solid strides. Haze runs pretty well and doesn't seem to have many graphical or audio glitches (one cannot say the same for Ghost Recon lol). Given Sony hasn't provided any real backwards compatibility options, this is something I might consider. I still have my PS3 hooked up if I have a hankering for some last gen goodness, but I also wouldn't mind playing those games with either increased resolution or frame rate, whenever the emulator gets to that point :-)
Sometimes, regular old firepower just isn’t enough, and you have to dip into that high-powered futuristic technology to get the job done.
The Armored Core V server is going to be shut down later this month worldwide, From Software and Bandai Namco have recently announced.
Can't wait to get this. For me this is pretty much ChromeHounds 2 lol
sounds like they are finally going back to their roots! I loved the old ACore games :D
It sounds like it's really shaping up to be an excellent game and a breath of fresh air for the franchise. Now all I need is some kick-bootay gameplay of the online and I'll be pre-ordering it like nobody's business.
God damn do I love Armored Core.
It sure has come a long way since Armored Core 4, huh? lol. Looks awesome. Definitely gonna pick it up. >.>
