VGW: Video game romances are supposed to embody everything that we strive for in relationships. The guy is tough, confident and exudes masculinity and the girl is kind, compassionate and ideally has breasts larger than her head. However, just like in real life there are an equal number of broken, dysfunctional and totally fucked up ones that will inevitably end in bloodshed and tears.
So while you’re sitting in your room all alone during Valentine’s Day, sobbing and wondering why no one loves you, take solace in the fact that life really could be so much worse. For example, you could be stuck in one of these disastrous relationships.
In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.
It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.
Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...
I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.
During MCM Comic Con London X EGX, CGM got the chance to be part of a press group interview with the stars of the Uncharted titles, namely the legendary Nolan North, who played protagonist Nathan Drake, Emily Rose, who portrayed Elena Fisher and Richard McGonagle, who took on the role of Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan,
From hunting ghosts to fighting it out in gladiatorial arenas, there are many underrated PS2 games you should check out in the goldmine.
Kudos for putting Kill.Switch and Chao Legion on the list. I love those games and agree they're underrated. Kill.Switch is one of my fav shooters on the PS2.
Hahaha, this gave my Saturday morning a pretty good LOL.
I don't think Link and Zelda are brother or sister though --the canon never makes it clear. At the very least, it's not like creepy Luke and Leia incest anyway.
Rest assured, I will most definitely "miss that ass" if Chloe doesn't show up in Uncharted 3. She was one of my favorite characters and it wasn't just because she was like a hotter, sexier, more conniving and more interesting Elena.
I agree that Zelda needs to be more involved in Links adventures when she's not being Kidnapped. I mean you really never see the relationship develop between the two other then she needs your help, you help her, world saved, The End.
It's a shame whats happened to Max aswell for Max Payne 3, I really wanted it to only be set two years after the second one so that Mona could appear again.
Oh and I think Noctis and Stellas romance in FF Versus will end in Tragedy...just a thought.
Freaking hilarious. This guy should be writing for Cracked!
