Mortal Kombat looks to be a better fighter than Marvel vs Capcom 3

Marvel vs Capcom 3 looks to be a lot of fun, but if you want a serious fighter Mortal Kombat is looking to crack your skull open with serious gameplay.

Who's a Capcom fanboy lol? So, because I have a Street Fighter avatar, my tongue must be up Capcom's greedy bumhole. Nice one. Reason I say this is because MK is a dead fighting franchise to me and the only reason this things getting a reboot is to try and capitalize on the fighting game revival games such as BlazBlue and Street Fighter IV have brought about this generation.

The reasons this guy gives are complete bull shit as well. Wow you can chain combo specials etc...theres bone breaking moves and gore? Who gives a shit. I never knew that's what gave fighting games substance. If that was the case I would have stopped playing Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV way before I hit the 700 hours mark.

When has MK ever been better then SF?! That's what I would like to know. Super Smash Brothers melee is a more serious fighting game then the past 4 MK's combined... lol.

Fighting games are all about gameplay and combos not how it looks,i'm sure MK well be great but better than MVC3 not sure,MVC2 was the best fighting game ever.

MvC games have never been balanced. MvC 2 pretty much just had teams of SENTINELS to wtfrape everyone. The older MK games actually had balance, although the newer iterations have been progressively stupider.

Just my opinion.

I hate Mortal Kombat games... always focusing on giving the user a horrible fighting engine and not the core game. I swear I played one that had MK Karts or something, when the main fighting engine was horribly glitchy.

IMO They are two completely different types of fighting games. So its not really about which one is better, but which one you prefer. I myself am going to get both games, because they both look to be pretty solid games. :D

Some of you might not like what i have to say but Mortal Kombat is outdated. The only appeal it had back then it was the goriness and blood, and back then it really pushed the line, it set the standard for today. But now in days that lots of game have some much gore and blood it isn't breaking anything now, they are just up the standard, and that doesn't appeal ,at least me, no more, beside when was the last time you heard that MK fighting was sick? We all talk about fatalities.

-yea, i loved mortal kombat too, i believe it was 1996.... times have changed, The new Edition looks good, but your right we get so much brutality in our games these days, MK just sounds so 90's... i'll trade the Gore for some seizure inducing flashing lights in MvC3! :)

To tell you the truth, I think that will all change with this next installment (hopefully). All the developers have been talking about is the amount depth that they have in this Mortal Kombat. Also if you watch some gameplay videos of it you may be able to see for yourself. :D

I don`t like to be pessimistic, but I have watched a lot of videos. It looks like the drink and have fun game rather than the dive into to get good.
None of the MK games can stand up to Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur when it comes to gameplay and if this will, I`ll eat my words.
I will buy it though.

wow wow stop right there mvc3 looks pretty fun and everything but come on the game could of had good characters , in the other side mortal kombat its all about combos and nowing what u are doing, am not saying mvc3 has bad character because am a fan of the dmc series an x men series but they could of done better
