Plus the more copies that are returned the higher the supply for CoD BO preowned games and stores will lower their prices to battle the demand.

This means second hand copies of Black Ops will go down in value and more people will be tempted to buy second hand copies instead of pay Activision and Treyarch for a new copy.

Treyarch made a broken game for PS3- whenever I try to join a friend it will freeze me for around 2-5 minutes in which time most of my friends have already given up on me.

Other people I've talked to have the same problem.

I do NOT think that hate for COD is silly when a broken, underpolished game is released yet millions of people (yes including me unfortunately) still bought it.

its not hating on the franchise people love the games and i know many people who paid premium day 1 prices that were usually five quid over the rrp(45 pounds roughly 90 dollars) all because they love the franchise but what happens they jump online or try to join a friend.......lag and a plethora of connection issues is that really fair from a supposedly premium main stream game. A) ive been playng this "broken" game for months with only the occasional disconnect. Most of the time, if you actually understand how the game works, sessions close because the host leaves. And it takes roughly 5 seconds to find a new game. Bfd.

B) the "controller uproar" was everyone bitching about how slow the response time was / the "weighted" feeling.

That was KZ2, KZ1 controlled fine on the PS2.

So the fact that Black Ops runs at a lower resolution and framerate (STILL) then the 360 version doesn't bother you? CoDTech the engine that CoD runs on is a rewritten Quake 3 engine, the PS3 should not be having issues keeping CoD at 720P.

Or the fact that this game plays exactly the same as CoD4? Yet it's 3 years newer, none of that throws you off? The gameplay of the game is what bothers me the most, it's so "safe". No risks, no growth, same old game repeatedly.

I have no problem with COD, I just got bored of it. The COD lovers tend to over-rate the game, while the COD haters tend to under-rate it. I traded my MW2 in for BF:BC2 and I am glad I did. I didn't buy Black-Ops and I am glad I didn't... but that doesn't mean that the people who like it are wrong.

If I did have Black Ops I think I'd definately take this deal as it is not like it will be that long before the next iteration of COD will be released and Blops will just be gathering dust anyway!

I don't know how accurate this is. I just called my local GameStop/EB games and they said that the trade-in value of Black Ops for PS3 is $18 in-store credit, or $14.64 cash. That's a far cry from $40.

Nope, you can't reason with these guys. I bought into the hype with Killzone 2 and picked it up day 1...and was underwhelmed (compared to the hype).

It's a solid game, not without it's problems, and overall a good experience. Just like Black Ops. But since N4G is an anti-Call of Duty zone, we need to dwell on Black Ops' shortcomings while arguing KZ3 will be the best game ever. Which reviews are clearly showing not to be the case. And apparently the campaign is less than 5 hours.

It'll probably be good. I'll probably buy it eventually. But the people championing KZ3 as the end-all-be-all for PS3 shooters while disparaging Black Ops just aren't being genuine.
