Nearly 30 years ago Yars' Revenge took the world be surprise as one of the first arcade shooters. It than become the best-selling title for the Atari 2600. Now gamers will get the chance to avenge the annihilated race of the Yar. Yars' Revenge brings back this classic game with an anime inspired art style and will expand past the original story. The game will also feature local co-op, multiple endings and intense battles.
"Yars' Revenge is one of the most popular Atari games of all time, leaving fans eager to experience the next chapter," says Jim Wilson, President and CEO of Atari, Inc. "The new Yars' Revenge updates this classic with anime inspired art direction, intense aerial battles and local co-op gameplay."
Yars' Revenge is being developed by Killspace Entertainment and will be launched on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and on Windows PC in Spring 2011.

I personally do remember Infogrames in the years prior to merger. They really did have a portfolio that stuck out and I enjoyed. I wonder what value they see in reviving it now though?

You're thinking of that ass game Yaris. Yars Revenge was awesome! It came with a comic book in the box. My dad bought this for my mom when I was a kid and thus started my love of gaming...Thanks dad for all the money I've spent since then.
Yea, I still have an Atari 2600 and the game. I had to go back and start to play it today. I like what they've done with the remake of a classic game.
