Activision despises the PS3. You would think modifying an engine that has been utilized for the past 2 re-iterations using the SAME type of multiplayer gameplay, you would've gotten similar results as other multiplats like Dead Space 2.

And yet, here they are designing the game like the PS3 was just released. Glad I never bought BO and More of the Same 2.

In all fairness, they must know that COD is seen as the biggest FPS to be played online which means more monkeys looking to exploit it.

Microsoft are a good example, people know more end-users are using M$ operating systems so its makes sense to write virii/find exploits as more people will suffer/benefit from it.

In all fairness they could have known of the exploit in the PS3 security and intentional left the back door open. I'm not a big fan of conspiricy theories but, Activision and MS are not painting a very good picture currently.

The system is open (Why is cheap/free), Xbox is closed (Why it's expensive) and that’s what happens. Trend Micro done the protection tool and I think Sony need to just Copy/Cut/Paste Xbox's online side. Close the network, have a very basic browser of safe sites and give incentive for people to do updates (MS cleverly do this with Dashboard updates). Its probably the best way to tackle exploits, Kudos to Sony for trying to give people a good deal but as usual, the openness has been taken advantage of. Treyarch are just stating the obvious, Sony knows this... its in their court now and they will either fix it or tackle piracy the expensive way.

So having an internet browser is a closed system right? (Sarcasticly Smile) Dedicated servers, optimised code, everything live is and psn isn't makes a smoother, trouble free online game WORK! Poor net code, you must be having a laugh... the net code is Sonys side of things as PSN offers the online service and Treyarch have very little to do with Sonys Architecture. DONT get me wrong but I know people that have put Emus on there PS3, watched movies off the internal hard drives, you cannot even add MP3's on an Xbox hard drive. They are protected in that sense. having a separate network ( closed ) on a open network ( internet ) is something that is done by every serious company worldwide .. is there any hack using the broswer ? none .
Because the broswer is a separate app and doesn't have even the keys to the psn ( you can use it offline)

Sony provides the authetification keys and every company use their own netcode ... that's why you can have a fighting game with awesome netcode ( blazblue) and other with poor netcode ( kof 12 ) ...because the netcode depends on the game.

All Cod since MW 1 games use the same old , buggy netcode . and not only it doesn't work properly ..they lost their keys because it wasn't done properly.
Did you see any more cheaters on KZ2 ? on MAG ? on socom ? battlefied ? NONE ..because their netcode is correctly done and protected.

the fault lies with treyarch simple as that .

Also the fact that you cannot add medias on the 360 hard drive isn't protection but just forcing you to pay more to use their overpricey services.

KZ2, MAG and Socom aren't hacked like COD is, just look at the PC version. Cheaters are all over COD. If the said games where played by the people who hack and cheat they would be hacked just as easily. How many times has MS booted or reset hackers from Halo and COD online, they do it regularly. MS look after the cheaters as its there Achievements that are affected. Same as Sony should as its their servers, even dedicated servers are looked after Sony, MS independently. Treyarch admitted they could help, the only reason they don't turn their security on is Sony has its own, which is not enough. You could not be more of a idiot. The network isnt hacked. The problems have nothing to do with it. if it was ever a network issue, then explain ms having all the lobbies hacked on mw2/mw1 . Dont even bring the browser into this, as shitty as it may be (though i still use it often) has nothing to do with psn or hacks.
In all honesty, how many games were hacked on 360 ? So each system has its faults but for the shitfest known as cod bo, there is just blame to developer, not console. Ive yet to see any other games hacked to any extent. Troll harder douchebag.
Ps, paying doesnt make it better, but free doesnt mean its good. Its all about preference. Thats what makes xbl or psn better in someones eyes.

Edit #2, what we can do with our system is fine. Psn has nothing to do with net coding for games. Tell that to the multiple games that work great if not flawlessly.. even cod4, old ass game. Works better than black ops. Medal of honor. Battlefield. The list goes on and on. To touch on your music n movie subject. Ms has a little thing called Zune. Treyarch is using this as a cover up so that when the game gets hacked(which is inevitable PS3 hack or not), they'll play the blame game on Sony and the PS3 being hacked to cover their asses!!

At wartime any army would set up a defense of their perimeter. Once the enemy breaks the perimeter the ability to defeat them multiplies exponentially. Kind of ironic considering the this is a military franchise.

In the game of Chess the Master think at least 4 moves ahead. Anticipation is the key. Treyarch should have taken this into consideration. Sony as well.

The security issue is the price you pay for an open, free network. The benefits are that we get games like LittleBigPlanet 2, the downside is that we get problems with CoD.

This is surely Treyarch's and Activision's responsibility – Sony doesn't charge for PSN but Activision does charge for Black Ops. Some of that money should go into making its product (that we pay to use) secure.
