GamerNode: "Shu Takumi had a major breakthrough with his Ace Attorney series for the DS. People all over the world revelled in the OBJECTIONS, TAKE THATS, and HOLD ITS that the courtroom drama offered. Now, however, Takumi has moved to a new idea and a new IP, introducing Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Does Ghost Trick live up to Takumi's past work? The only answer I can think of is "kinda." The charm is there with funny dialogue and cartoony characters, and the story is quite interesting, but the gameplay leaves a bit to be desired."
Ghost Trick is by far one of Capcom’s most unique and clever games, and it's now finally widely available after spending nearly a decade and a half as a portable exclusive.
I think I'm going to have to dust off the ole Switch to try this game. One of those games that everyone seems to like and isn't the normal game I tend to stay away from on Nintendo.
"Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a perfect resurrection of a mystery-puzzler that knows when to play the fool and when to play on the feels."

WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "Ghost Trick is a game unlike anything else, and it simply continues to delight and enrapture, years later, far removed from the console where it started. If I could, I would develop my own 4K, dual screen handheld to cram this game onto, but I have no money and no talent, so here I am. Instead, I am imploring fans from all walks – the visual novel crowd, the detective crew, the Pomeranian fanatics – to come and take this ride. It’s charming, it’s complex, it’s lovingly crafted and it honestly surprises me that Capcom gave so much care to a game that seemed to slip under so many radars. It’s only till the sun rises, though, so make haste to take your time. You may only have one chance to find out the truth."
