Activision: Black Ops Connection Issues Are Your Own Fault

Activision wants you to know that if you have connection issues in Call of Duty: Black Ops, it's your own fault for not opening your ports... However, "sometimes host migration doesn't work."

I guess nobody knows how to open their ports... Or maybe it's just because the game is broken.

Activision, you bitch.

Bleucrunch3788d ago

SMH I will never understand these jokers...that is why I wont be playing that crap of a game.

Kran3788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

It's like, we buy their DLC. They get our money. They blame us for internet issues.

Well I didn't buy the new map pack, lets put it that way. Im just gonna wait til its like 400MSP or summit.

JhawkFootball063788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

People actually buy their DLC?

KillerBBs3788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

Why is it the other games in my library don't require me to open my ports or have a problem with my ports not being open.

P.S. customer is always right... So suck it and design a game to which i don't need a network specialist.

Soldierone3788d ago

If it were my fault Id have issues with Battlefield and the other games in my library too.

Activision actually found a way to dig a deeper hole, im impressed.

Motion3788d ago

Open the ports, huh? If that's truly the issue, perhaps they shouldn't design a game to use ports that aren't open by default.

Led-Zeppelin3788d ago

Sorry for the random question but what does "SMH" mean?

sobekflakmonkey3788d ago

Activision can suck it, im not buying the next CoD, I know alot of people will say that and buy it anyways, but really...fuck that, I will most definitely not be getting the next one, there are too many other games coming out that are actually worth my money..

evrfighter3788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

wow give this customer support rep a break. I hate Activision like no other but it's clear you called to be a douche.

Props to this rep for putting up with your douchebaggery and continuing to be professional while doing it.

He knew right away what your purpose was btw.

Highlife3787d ago

I have actually called them a couple of times to complain about my problems of game freezes hard crashes. All they would say is to open some ports. My statement to them was I don't have any problems with any other game just this one. I have opened the ports they said didn't do anything. I have asked for my money back and they told me that they don't do that and that you have to go to the retailer. I don't think they would give me my money back if I go to Target and say I bought this crap game filled with bugs can I have my money back. This game can go to hell.

Its funny how every other game manages to work without opening certain ports.

ikkeweer3788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

Lol, ten bucks on this getting a hot topic.
I just put the game on my shelf after 2 weeks.
The only reason I get back to it from time to time is that someone makes a comment on N4G, or another gaming-site, and I wan't to see if it's true.

EDIT: just keeping it for the fuzz made it worthwhile.

EDIT 2: Judging by the voice-recording they have a manual on seperating people with statements from people with issues. That's just plain wrong.

lil Titan3788d ago

Ok people if you haven't already this is how you return the COD black ops game
1. pack it with all the $h!t it came with
2. put shoes on
3. use transportation to go to the store (car or bus, legs are optional)
kindly return your game to the store you bought it from if they ask why your returning it say im having "Connection Issues"

KillerBBs3788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

Will not take my copy back!

Off the subject: My game came with a CD and one sheet of paper explaining the game. When I opened it, I thought: what a cheap piece of CRAP, can't even put in a pamphlet in it.

Soldierone3788d ago

Only way that works is if its Walmart. Otherwise your screwed the second you open the plastic.

P1NKY3788d ago

I already did. I bought my PS3 copy on release for £45. Took it back to the shop mid january and got £34 back. That's actually pretty good trade in value.

WOW...What a way to say fuck u to us gamers..Im speechless!!!! Thank GOD killzone 3 will b out in a couple of weeks.

aaaaaaaaa3788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

"What a way to say fuck u to us gamers". Nothing new we gamers have put up with the same thing since day 1 Activision isn't the first and won't be the last.

One of the big problems here is we gamers(the user) are addicted to gaming and the software companies(the dealers) know this and abuse it!. We can tell who is to blame here and it isn't the gamers for been weak for buying there **** all the time.

xAlmostPro3788d ago

ian723788d ago

Thanks for the rapid approval, everyone. :)

tablav3788d ago

You thank people and they disagree? Tough crowd.

JsonHenry3788d ago

If everyone else can connect then it probably is just a port forwarding issue. I don't know anyone that has a problem connecting myself.

RyuCloudStrife3788d ago

You have to be a Network Technician now to play Black Ops

ikkeweer3788d ago (Edited 3788d ago )

Hey, this guy could be a "hardcore" gamer, while his job forces him to tell this crap. Wouldn't you "Ehm" alot if you were him? lol
