StrengthGamer: XBOX 720: What We Want to See (plus model sketch)

"With recent announcements such as the Nintendo 3DS and the Next Generation Portable by Sony, we strongly feel that Microsoft is preparing to announce the Xbox 720. Along with that, market trends show the "console cycle" is nearing it's routine end. We at StrengthGamer.com decided to put our minds together and create what we believe the "Xbox 720" should consist of. Encompassing nearly every detail, regardless of how realistic it may be..."

I like the battery pack idea. Basically , make the console a laptop.

HappyGaming2819d ago

Yeah only difference being that laptops only use up around half the voltage meaning you would probably get about an hour of gameplay before the battery died or even less.

Funny article. I love that they at least acknowledge that much of this is just not happening, even though it would be cool. That is the great part of wishlists.

My own hopes for Xbox 720:

1 Terabyte HDD
Blu-ray Playback
Built in Wifi/Bluetooth
Rechargeable Controllers
Bluetooth Headset (having to take the controller with you to the kitchen to talk is ridiculous)
No disc tray, slot loading is much preferred.
Better reliability in general.

I'm not paying 100 bucks extra to have a battery pack on my home console - you still need a TV so what's point.

It would be much better if your 720 could stream games to any internet connected PC like Onlive. That combined with the ability to install games on the harddrive and bluetooth controller would mean that any laptop could be a portable 720.

@pogibaldy

So basically a PS3?

pangitkqb2819d ago

@ COMPUT3R

Yup. The Ps3 is packed with great features that any console could benefit from. An improvement of those features will come next gen and I look forward to all of them.

Did anyone notice the six disc changer? WTH is that lol? Just swallow your pride and recommended a blu-ray drive. A disc changer like that is just cumbersome and would raise costs.

Arnon2819d ago

Or, it would allow you to choose from 6 different games without every having to remove a disc.

DevastationEve2819d ago

You're both wrong lol.

PC gamers can play 6 different games without bluray or disc changing. It's called a hard drive.

C0MPUT3R2819d ago

Also 1 more thing that can break.

gcolley2819d ago

@DevastationEve - and the reason is called piracy

just_looken2819d ago

i want too see low failure rates and decent quality hardware

gypsygib2819d ago (Edited 2819d ago )

Lol the 6 disk disk changer is ridiculous.

I only need Blu-ray, bluetooth, slot loading and the ability to use my 720 like OnLive on my laptop anywhere I have an internet connection, kinda of like remote play but better.

Oh yeah, and no more propriety harddrives!
