Great list you have there.
I love them Japanese franchises!
I am glad most of the gaming media are excited, impressed, & enthusiastic with the NGP. Truly revolutionary device!

For the love of gaming, I think when a rare phenomenon like this NGP with its truck load of possibilities concerning gaming, every gamer around the world can't help but be united in ecstasy!

You're not from our older gaming generation. I guess you're from the PS2 era?

Please, someone tell me I'm wrong.

Syphon Filter ps3/NGP
Heavenly Sword : Resurrection ps3/NGP
Starhawk ps3/ NGP
i would go nuts for those games lol

Cloudberry3798d ago (Edited 3798d ago )

Personally, Metal Gear Solid NGP is a must.

I just read the article, and noticed the Shin Megami Tensei game.

I got a feeling that ATLUS might port Persona 4 for NGP & called it Persona 4 Portable...

The tech demo as the PS meeting was a confirmation enough that a MGS game will happen on the PSP2 and will also provide some sort of connectivity with the ps3 as well.

SuperLupe3798d ago

I hope we dont just get PSP2 versions of PS3 games. I saw UC, KZ and Resistance for instance are planned already. Its cool and stuff but I dont want to play the same games over and over again.

The PSP2 must have its own games, its own identity.

remanutd553798d ago

well in case you didnt see the other new franchises or games i will remind you a little :
Gravity Daze
Little Deviants
Smart As
Reality Fighters
thats 4 new games right there being developed by sony first party studios so yea dont need to worry psp2 will have its own games but remember they want to launch it in a big way and you need those already stablished big franchises to do it so yea i think thats why sony is choosing Uncharted , Little Big Planet , Killzone , Resistance and from a third party perspective Call of Duty and probably Mr Kojima next project ,they dont want to make the same mistake they did with the ps3 , launching it with just Resistance Fall of Man as a stand out title , this time they are getting ready to fight aggressive lol

SuperLupe3798d ago

Yeah you're right, using establshed franchises is probably the safe way to launch a console.

remanutd553798d ago

its gonna be a mix , did you see the Little Deviants demo ? well i think sony will get more games like that or simply new franchises , hey sony has always created new franchises even on the current psp

Needs more original Ip's.

I really hope atleast 3/4 on the dev support list (80+ Imaageepoch was confirmed to be working on the NGP aswell) are working on something original. but dont forget possible sequels too.

More specifically:

Square Enix working on KH BBS volume 2 and one of the numbered "Type" games for the NGP.

Level 5 working on Dark Cloud 3 and Rougue Galaxy 2.

SCE working on The Legend of Dragoon 2.

A proper resident Evil game by CAPCOM or a spin off of Lost Planet.

Rockstar making San Andreas Stories.

There are so many games they could make instead of ports.

My greatest wish would be the Whoopee Camp (most of them working on Access Games, the makers of Lord of Arcana) to reunite and work on one last Tomba game and give it all they've got.

A Jak and Daxter. Maybe Ready At Dawn could flex their programming muscles on the NGP. The Lost Frontier was good, but I think that RAD could do a better job than High Impact Games especially with the proven record of Daxter.

Personally I think it would be cool if the old mascots and sequels of old IP live on the NGP whilst the new IPs chug along at a slow pace on the PS3 with the occasional spin-off/sidestory, I'd quite like that.

oldjadedgamer3798d ago

I heard Ready At Dawn is wanting to flex their abilities on a console game, so I'm not sure if we will see any NGP games from them (just a rumor though)

remanutd553798d ago

didnt Mr Kojima said he is working on a PS3/NGP project? you think Ready at Dawn could be doing the same ?

oldjadedgamer3798d ago

Considering RAD has basically no experience working with console games, I doubt they would be involved with a crossover project.

I am still doubtful something like that can be done, I guess I'll have to wait to see what Kojima does

remanutd553798d ago (Edited 3798d ago )

didnt Epic games showed a ps3 PSN game running on NGP ? they even said it took them a week to port the game over

Da_Truth3798d ago (Edited 3798d ago )

I would love if they release a PS3/NGP combo of PS3 games for like 90$. For example Infamous 2 PS3 version and the NGP port for 90$. But if the rumor are true and you can remote play your PS3 games on the NGP then it wont be necessary

R_aVe_N3798d ago

I like the idea behind that for sure.
