Nathan Drake and the Uncharted series have upped the ante on how rich a gaming story can be, and Adam Sessler here talks with Naughty Dog Design Dir. Amy Hennig on how Uncharted 3 and the idea of an Atlantis in the Sands will raise the bar again.
UC3 looks to be an amazing game. I just hope they improve the awful repetitiveness of some parts of UC2. After playing through UC2 three times (Trophies) I just became sick of climbing ladders. It seemed on every level there was at least one of those red ladders. Gah. Other than that I absolutely loved UC2 and put it as one of my all time favorites.
Good preview, but i want MORE!
Edit: Disagrees, Must have some ladder lovers on n4g
You don't have to worry about being spoiled. It was one of the worst previews I've ever seen. There was maybe 45 seconds of Uncharted talk before they started spewing about indiana jones, and airplanes, and movies, and I dont even know. I expected to hear something new here, not to waste 2 and a half minutes of my life listening to a bald virgin guy and a girl who thinks she knows what she's talking about, talk about irrelevant shit.
I would like to keep the platform elements, but maybe have them not so drawn out, and have more combat during them. Some parts of U2 had really drawn out puzzles where all you did was jump around and climb things for long periods of time.
This, by the way, is a very small complaint, as U2 was nearly perfect in my eyes. Just something they should touch on.
I am going to gobble this game up. The Uncharted series does so many things right. I hope Naughty Dog ups the setpieces even more!
Uncharted 1 had the awesome jeep chase, Uncharted 2 had, well, a bunch. The incredible train sequence, fighting the tank through the village, another truck sequence, fighting through a crumbling building, and more.
I noticed the crashed plane in the Uncharted 3 trailer. I bet a badass setpiece will involve Nate fighting on the plane while it's crashing and skydiving out, freefalling towards the desert and parachuting.
The part where you're in a flipped Train Car, right before the train level. That was hell on the hardest difficulty till I figured out what to do. I do wish UC3 steps up the difficulty level from the previous two games though.

I want new gameplay footage.
Nice interview. Uncharted is my favorite series on the PS3.
Not going to watch because I can't wait for the story to surprise me.
