Andriasang: For consumers and retailers in Japan, January 20 marked the beginning and perhaps only day for reservations of the Nintendo 3DS, which launches on February 26 at ¥25,000. Major electronics retailers like Yodobashi Camera, Bic Camera and Sofmap, as well as online retailers like Amazon Japan, announced the start day of reservations about a week in advance, giving consumers ample time to prepare for it.

And prepare they did. I had expected demand for the system to be quite huge from the get-go, so I knew that I would have to line up at some point to get a system, either at the launch itself or perhaps when getting a pre-order.

I don't quiet get who it's directed at. General player? Sure, I can believe them not knowing some of the less popular final fantasy games. But final fantasy FANS? There is nothing forgotten about these games.
