Homefront may be about an occupied and conquered United States of America, but the creative director of the game thinks that its themes and values are universal...
Is that a White Castle burger place in the background of the picture?
I hope we get to meet Harold and Kumar :)
Anyways, almost all fps games are about Americans. I think if people from other countries can enjoy playing those, then they can enjoy playing Homefront.
I wonder when they will make a FPS not entirely about Americans?
I know what you mean, all that bullshit about "fighting for our rights and freedoms" for a military conflict where they're being invaded and attacked, and then the family members and politicians try and sensor games about it. Yeah, you say they're fighting and dying for our rights, but you take away our first amendment rights to fictionally portray the conflict. So, now, why exactly are they dying if it's not for our freedoms?
Who cares what nationality you play as?. This game reminds me of Haze. The devs went all drama queen over the story and it turned out to be one of the worst games in existence. Just give us a decent shooter that we can judge by gameplay and give the bullshit story a rest.
You know despite people not knowing what cgi was and thinking haze's trailer was the graphics of the real game I still had a fun time on that game. I'm not saying that it was great or anything. But it was a fun game to play for a bit.
Oh you know. Everyone has to rip on stupid stuff. If you can't find something to hate on then you start picking idiotic stuff. Either way, I see it as, I am this guy, I shoot that guy. END OF.
Any one remember that god awful game Turning Point : Fall Of Liberty, where in an alternate universe Germany invaded America. This time around it's the North Koreans. I don't know about you but the story has me intrigued. Hopefully the game play is equally as good.
The concept is really no different to Resistance : FoM. Except Insomniac based their game in the UK and against a non / previously-human enemy. Loved that game for its story and narrative. Homefront is a title I'm keeping an interested eye on. (they're both interested actually lol)

...
Wasn't Modern Warfare 2 primarily about invaded US soil?
Just sounds like hype-mongering.
