Madden Predicts the Playoffs – Conference Championships | VGW

Hoo boy… last week was absolutely abysmal for Madden 11′s predictions. The game picked the Ravens, Seahawks, Patriots, and Falcons, with none of them actually ending up advancing. With the conference title games featuring a few unlikely competitors, perhaps Madden 11 can take advantage of some of the mismatched match-ups on offense to make more accurate predictions. Unfortunately, the game is unable to factor in the beat-up nature of the Steelers, who are fresh off an intense game with their rivals from Baltimore, or the momentum of the Jets, who are on a roll, having knocked off two of the greatest playoff quarterbacks of all-time in consecutive games. Even though there are several factors that are present in the actual playing of these games that Madden is unable to consider, it will be interesting to see how a simulation stands up to the real thing in two of the biggest games of the year; the ones that decide who plays in the Super Bowl.

So if you go by last weeks results, The Jest and Bears should be going to the superball.

Bears beat a below .500 team at home

If my Packers lose tomorrow, then I am coming to kill the guy who simulated the games. Motherfucker.

It's probably gonna be the Jets and Packers.

BShea4893d ago

That's what I'm hoping for, but the Steelers are playing really well right now. But as a Ravens fan living in Pittsburgh, I'm really hoping the Jets can pull it off ;)

I was rooting for Baltimore, but if the Steelers keep beating em, don't you think they'll just tear apart the Jets? As for Chicago and Greenbay, I honestly don't care because I think the Steelers would easily handle either of them in the Superbowl.

GiantJedi4893d ago

i'm a Giants fan so I really don't want the Jets to win, and Since the Packers kicked our ass few weeks ago I don't want our game being one of those memorable games that keep showing up. Personally I want the Steelers and Bears to play with the Bears winning it all (Steelers have too many SB wins lol)

@VasquezEazy22

Well, the Jets did just beat them a few weeks before the end of the season, so who knows?

dagamdagee4892d ago

I share your Ravens sentiment. Last week was super disappointing. At least the Caps are still playing well!

Bshea, The Jets beat The Steelers yes, but that was a different Steeler Team, Troy was out due to an Injury, Heath Miller was out due to a Concussion. If the Jets can't establish a strong run game, and they put the ball into Sanchez's hands. The Steelers will win the game. Dick Lebeau is a master mind at the zone blitz... Lets face it he invented it.
Dick Lebeau was missing the important piece on D with is Troy, The D of The Steelers are much more disciplined on d then The colts and the pats. I see the Steeler's pulling it out by 3 or 4 points.

BShea4892d ago

I agree. I've been watching the Steelers all season and I understand very well how good of a team they are. I'm picking them, but I am hoping for a Jets victory tomorrow. I'm just saying.. you never know! haha

giovonni4892d ago

Oh, I understand. It's a great story if The Jets do Win, I'm a steeler fan since they had Rod Woodson, Greg Loyd , Kevin Green, Yancy Thingpen Bam Morris ect. It's going to be a great game Tomorrow.

Bigpappy4892d ago

Nah! Buddy Ryan was the master of all things Blitzes. But steelers is a great defendsive team, no doubt about that. Yet I like big Ross is what the Jets need to focus on to have a chance at winning.

EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour – A Masterful Stroke

"The last time we got an EA Sports PGA Tour game, it was March of 2013, and it was the final title to bear Tiger Woods’ name and likeness, as well as the last to be featured on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. EA Tiburon would then proceed to take a year’s hiatus before coming back with the newest PGA Tour video game, this time bearing name and likeness of the newest #1 golfer in the world, Scotland’s Rory McIlroy.

EA Tiburon also decided to forgo the IGNITE engine used for its sports titles, instead opting for DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine, in order to offer no loading time by preloading the course as the game progress, offering seamless play between holes. With all these promises abound, is EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour the game golf fans have been waiting for?" - Clinton Bowman, The Outerhaven

Fil1013259d ago (Edited 3259d ago )

I was gonna say the same thing (about him being irish that is )

iistuii3259d ago

"This game looks nothing short of amazing" are you kidding me. I've not seen this much Alaising in a next gen game to date, the course is a jag fest. Trees & grass are shimmering with Alaising, it looks terrible.

TheBrit3259d ago

Totally agree. The demo from the vault sucked in my opinion - the graphics are fully capable on the Xbox 360 - those screen shots on Xbox.om look amazing, well so far I've not see anything like that in the demo and I haven't had a chance to play the full game yet (pre-downloaded it) - So far the game is nice as in, it's nice to have an EA golf game on the XB1 but I am not impressed yet.
