Cryptic Studios has temporarily slashed almost $60 on the Lifetime subscription prices for Star Trek Online and Champions Online, as both MMOs prepare for pretty important milestones.
Star Trek Online celebrates its first anniversary on February 2 while Champions Online goes free-to-play with its Free For All update on January 25.
The long-running, free-to-play Star Trek Online has expanded once more - and this time it's the new Both Worlds season that comes to Xbox and PlayStation.
Cryptic Studios appears to be the latest Embracer-owned company to be impacted by layoffs.
Fans are getting their Janeway fix with the latest update. Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of online games, and Cryptic Studios announced Captain Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager will make her Star Trek Online debut in Shadow’s Advance.
Was never really a big Voyager fan I did watch it they reused a lot of the same story arcs time travel, slip stream, the borg, thrown closer to home. Best aliens I like that were introduced in the series were the Hirogen would love to see the Klingons take them on in a war.
Great insight into players potentially holding out for Star Wars: The Old Republic. In this economy, people are guarding every penny to make sure they can play the games that will give them the most bang for their buck.
I wold love to play Star Trek online. I need to get my gaming pc!
Slashing prices ? The two games are frickin' going f2p to survive better and they are still trying lifetime subs ?
Dont get those it's a rip-off for two dissapointing games ...
I was looking forward to Champions Online going free until I played DCUO. Now compared to DCUO, Champions Online is unplayable. The game Just have no soul.
i thought the opposite, though it could be because i played it on a friends ps3, the graphics were terrible, it ran choppy and buggy,Champions online looks so much crisper and cleaner(though this is comparing a pc game to a console game) the character models looked weak, maybe on pc DCO looks better, I'll try it when it hits $20 or so on pc(should be a month or two)
