EA has shut down rumors that EA Motive considered a Dead Space 2 remake before shelving it due to low sales of the previous game, saying there's "no validity" to the reports.
Why not remake DS2 whether shot down or not it's still my favorite game next to DS1. As much as I hate EA I would buy or would have bought DS2 day one.
No validity XD "Guys guys, we cant possible make a good game or cater to the gamers wants, stop"
I don't know if sales met their expectations or not. I just know that the high review scores received my attention so I was interested in buying it, but its price stayed high (50+ bucks) for so long that I simply never bothered picking it up.
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Well it seems my initial response was to long over 4000 words and its just to much to break down. There were just some errors in show one being the comment about GT series taking the racing line from Forza so wrong. The other about needing macros in an MMO. Guild Wars was mentioned which btw its pricing scheme wasn't really mentioned properly, which could confuse some people but whatever. Guild Wars was in fact that perfect example of a highly popular MMO which uses only 8 skills at any given time. Given that I have played in excess of 25plus MMO's I'm here to tell you DCU's combat layout was pulled off well for the PS3.
I agree the communication needs to be addressed and I'm sure it will. Also for future reference their is another game coming out from NC Soft that could do very well on the PS3. If they so happen to do so, which at least probable given NC Softs history. One their optimization skills with giving you good visuals without the need for the cutting edge. An the fact that this new MMO looks to once again break boundaries in wake of a new combo like system. That looks like it could be well at home on a well laid out controller scheme. Not to mention if need be the PS3 can easily support keyboard and mouse.

Also you guys are really surprised at those games that sold in that top. Given this generation is the same generation that has made the creator of the Snuggy a millionaire and Farmville a billion dollar game. The crap people buy these days hardly surprises me seeing as I still hear about people that don't even know what HD is in my own backyard the U.S. sad really.
Oh and props to whoever said Dead Space one was one of the best games of all time. I agree and this is coming from someone who hates horror games and Platinum Dead Space twice.
