BREACH Preview: Atomic Games Teaches DICE a Lesson on Destruction

Electronic Arts and DICE, creators of Bad Company 2, based most of their advertising strategy on one thing: Destructible environments. Representatives from EA even went so far as to say that this newest addition to the Battlefield series was going to be the "Call of Duty Killer", which as we all know, couldn't have been further from the truth. They had gamers everywhere believing that Destruction 2.0 was the best thing since sliced bread. So we all ran out last March and spent our $60 on a few maps and environments that were, well, pretty stoic.

Looks pretty promising for only an arcade game.

Yeah, a little concerned about the graphics quality, but as long as it's fun to play, I'm in.

I wouldn't go so far as saying they taught DICE a lesson.

Been watching this for a while and yes the Physics are more realistic than anything else but are they making a great physics demo or a great FPS game cause they only have like 3 maps and weak graphics.

There's actually a Red Faction Guerrilla war mod that does almost the same thing.

Can't wait to get this game...although I disagree that DICE focused on one thing - destructible environments...Battlefield offers a lot more

Fanboy. Breach looks awesome.

Did you even watch the trailer? This is what detructible environments should be like.

NYC_Gamer2884d ago

breach does it more realistic in my opinion

Should be interesting to see how this turns out.

All the videos show a pretty low graphics system in place. The fact it comes out at the end of the month, should be interesting.

Let's just hope it is competitive and truly unique.

n COD teaches all of them no one cares bout destruction!!

This game looks pretty cool. Better than Modern Combat or whatever. If they're both the same price I'll pick up this.

They are not same price..modern combat is 8$ and breach is 15$
Still though this game looks decent. Id like to see this team make a full game though with those physics.
