Lies should be up there. Too many lies and non gameplay videos/"screen shots" nowadays. The amount of times specs of hardware/games have been up played to seem better

I'd throw in "endless COD complaints" on the forums of every site everywhere. I'm not defending COD, I'm simply tired of whiners going on and on and on and on AND ON about why they don't like it blah blah blah. How do endless complaints on unrelated sites do anything? If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you bought it and don't like it, don't go buy the next one and expect anything different. Yes, all this patch crap in Black Ops is ridiculous, but i don't need to bitch about it on eight different sites for the next four months either.

With that addition, I agree with many of the gaming trends listed. The rare patch or two doesn't bother me. Regular patches that come with their own problems, however, are annoying.

I especially agree that Devs who blame their games' failure on gamers - rather than their inability to understand the market or simply create something people actually want to play - need to grow up and take responsibility for their own failure.

Hooray someone finally said it. I borrowed my brother's Black Ops and decided it wasn't for me. Simple as that. I swear some people have spent more time complaining about CoD than they've ever even spent playing a game they like.

YUP...they say its annoying, yet they are happy to spend an hour telling you why they don't like it. If something truly annoys you, you would try to give it the least attention possible.

dead: you would think that, but it seems like people rush to things that anger them. then they feel the need too tell everyone about it.

People who have issues with the games and Activision feel that the game shouldn't be successful, and it annoys them that the next one will likely be successful as well so they try to spread their opinion. IMO, the only thing more pathetic in this situation than these shamelessly glitchy games is that people line up year after year to fork out the cash for them.

Multiplayer with everything gets my goat. Stop spending so much time with multiplayer on games that just dont need it. Tacking it on means that not only will it end up pointless and rubbish, it'll steal focus and resources away from the experience you were originally trying to create.

I think this is partially down to reviewer and consumer pressure. Developers fear reviewers will slate their game for no online modes or label it as having no replayability. They seem to feel any old tacked on multi even if its rubbish and no one will play it scores plus points. Well it shouldnt, reviewers should be slating games for poor tacked on multi rather than admitting its rubbish although still saying 'It's always nice to be in there'. Whats the point?

I love cinema cut-scene. I hate when you just stand there and look at the in game cinema like Dead Space.

mightyboot2925d ago (Edited 2925d ago )

The "Announcing an announcement" thingy really as to stop that only builds more unnecesary hype.

gaden_malak2925d ago

I agree, an announcement to announce the date they are going to announce something is ridiculous.

guigsy2925d ago

I hate when games get announced like 3+ years before they are released. Don't get me wrong, I much prefer games being delayed for the sake of quality, but all this should be taken into account before the game is announced.

Competitive multiplayer should stop. Not entirely but limit it, and made a cooperative multiplayer instead. Love the way Tomb Raider Guardian of Light played. The game that can be played single player or cooperative multiplayer.

There's nothing wrong with cinematic, but take Half Life 2, Left 4 Dead and Portal as an example to follow. It never takes the player out of the action and immersion of the game.
